been here 5 yrs. I def realized u need real money to make it here. an actual career. low income in LA is 50k a year. If u are pursuing entertainment u need a legit income or a good ass hustle. or do it the finessing LA way .. it's not a game to be broke and play here At all

You need to be making 80K+ year to live comfortably here
@assassinruler14833 жыл бұрын
@@CoolKid-yr7tj living here I agree. That’s comfortably though, if you want to live lavishly then you’re going to be making 150k+ for a family. Still though, if you’re living out here yourself you won’t need that much, but still around 65-70k a year, so not too bad

@assassinruler14833 жыл бұрын
@@CoolKid-yr7tj oh no I don’t need more money lol. My family is very good right now. I’m just saying for the 18 year olds planning to move here on their own with little to no money and no degree, thus making minimum wage. With EDD, I don’t what what it is though, I guess you might make enough to live alone as a young person. But i don’t really know🤷🏽♂️

God bless you! Don’t make yourselfs homeless! Omg me and my roommates live in Idaho! We always wanted to move to LA because of their film/TV industry one day! Damn LA is really expensive to live!😭

Also now that we have the internet you don't really need LA to be successful in film. I moved out here and I can say it's not any easier to get into the industry. Unless you're trying to act. To get a crew job is impossible. It's a club and they will not just hire you. Plus there's thousands of other applicants applying. Chances are you're not gonna stand out enough to get noticed. You can be a bigger fish in a smaller pond in another state. I wouldn't move out here until you're INVITED for work.

@@TheHDStation I want to move to L.A to get in the music industry
@TheHDStation3 жыл бұрын
@@terror904 I met a guy working the music industry out here. He told me he was thinking of doing something else because he's tired the rat race. If you like doing it, I would say don't come here. It kinda sucks the joy out of it. Things are so expensive out here you HAVE to make a lot of money just for rent. Its hard to make a lot of money when everyone is competing for the same jobs unless you're already better than the thousands of other people doing it, or you already know someone doing it that can hire you. There's a lot of music studios on the East coast in Atlanta and Tennessee. Los Angeles is definitely overhyped. California is pretty and all, but the media jobs are all in this filthy city. Not to mention the Pandemic has really changed dynamics around. My advice is to build yourself up and wait until you're invited out here by someone offering to pay you. You can apply to jobs out here from anywhere. If you're looking to do your own thing, well that can be be done from anywhere. Good luck.
