I've lived in Michigan all my 66 years. Weather in the 1960's and 1970's was beautiful. We actually had 4 seasons. Now we mostly have 2. HOT & COLD. Not much Spring or Fall anymore. We really don't have much severe weather though which is nice. We do deal with ice, snow, though and we might have to deal with power outages because of it. Kinda sad that we didn't have a white Christmas this year. The Great Lakes are definitely worth living here. Lake Huron is beautiful. Enjoyed playing in the whitecaps of Lake Huron and building sand castles with moats as a kid at grandparents cottage which was a little bit south of the Singing bridge on US 23. I'll shut up now. I live in Michigan and I love it, but wonder why unless your work location changes. Definitely four season here but never predictable. We had snow on Halloween and 40+ degrees on Christmas.

If you don't like the weather in Michigan wait 5 minutes! As a macro fairly predictable, in the micro, not at all.

Howdy! I'm considering several living options and Michigan is on the list. I saw your video on Ferndale and once drove through it during the Woodward Dream Cruise. I have a mobile hme in Florida but want to escape the humid summers. The resurgence of Detroit and it's history fascinate me but I also like the water so an inexpensive cabin in a small lake town is also appealing. I would have to be able to lock and leave it for extended periods of time though. Thanks for posting.
