Lovely blog. Welcome to our little country. 👋 I'm hoping the people are friendly too you, and you and your husband are enjoying your life here. You spoke of high prices of housing, ect. Sadly that because your in one of the most expensive areas of our country. If you have a means or opportunity try moving out of the larger cities. Try smaller towns. That will save you a lot of money. Also avoid supermarket like AH and Jumbo. They might have more interesting products in they're stores but their not cheap places to shop for groceries. Try stores like Hoogvliet, Dirk if their in your area. Their way cheaper.

Thank you so much🥰 I am interested in cities other than Amsterdam. My favourite supermarket is Dirk, I have never been to Hoogvliet, I will give it a try.🌼

@@Yuki-namaste53 I'm located near the coast, and we have some interesting towns in my surrounding area. Leiden, Oegstgeest, Zoetermeer, Katwijk, Noordwijk. While it not the season for it anymore, in Noordwijk you will find a large amount of flower fields you visit around the start of April. Also in these areas a lot of people speak English. So you'll have no problems getting around these places. If you want to be in a more hill-like area try some places in Brabant or Limburg. In Love Valkenburg in Limburg. It has A castle on a hill, caves systems and old mines you can visit. As for places you can eat out that are nice try the Easie if there's one in your area. Their serve a mix of Asian and Western food. Their menu is great. A meal with a drink is around will cost you around 12 euro per person. Their located in several towns and cities. Like Den Haag, Leiden, Rotterdam, Scheveningen, ect. Lidl might also be a good supermarket to shop at. I'm just not sure if their any in your area. Or just in the more coastal areas.

They are very important information for newcomers to the Netherlands. Thanks for sharing😊 Leiden, Oostgeest, Zoetermeer, Katwijk and Noordwijk are near Keukenhof, aren't they? Those areas are very peaceful and I like them too. The more hilly areas are also nice. I would visit there first. I will also try Easie.🌷

@@Yuki-namaste53 your most welcome. 😊 Yes, the areas I've listed are near the Keukenhof. I personally live near Katwijk, and I agree, it's really peaceful in this area. I enjoy shopping in the city but I would want to live in one. I've always been a small town lady. Haha I'm glad my information w Is useful too you. I hope you will enjoy your time I any place you visit here.
