Moving to Wellesley Massachusetts? What you should know before living in Wellesley!

Most of our families and friends moved out of Boston and headed west into Brookline, Newton, Wellesley, Weston.(back in the late 60's and early 70's Boston was getting bad)

Used to have a friend who lived in Wellesley. His house was at least 3x bigger than the next biggest house I'd been in.

lived in wellesley moved from newton ,dad paid 24k, 1958- 2011 house sold for 1,200,000

Is Boston, MA, or anywhere in MA, military friendly where is comes to renting and buy? I'm currently enlisted and might be moving here for my next duty station

I am originally from Wellesley and am ancient having been born in 1949. Wellesley is beautiful. Most of the people would be welcoming to military members, but there is no conceivable way a military salary would enable you to buy anything and rentals are almost non existent. Sorry.
