What a kick in the balls!!! Can’t imagine the relief you felt as you found sound wood outside of the access you had to cut. I hope this is the last of the major repairs you’ll have to do on your boat for a long time.

Why would you ever ever ever put that much work and money in to restoring a boat without replacing your fuel tank, especially if the boat doesn’t have a dedicated cut out to access the tank. I have restored many boats and if they are older than 10 yrs, I always start with the fuel tank first. Inspect the fuel tank and get a good idea if the foam is water logged or fuel loaded. As well as see what the stringers look like. It is always easier to replace a deck whether is rotten or solid than what you are having to do now.

man i feel for you ... I had a similar age 25 parker and it was a total peice of sh*t, deck rot, stringer rot, tank rot. They didnt epoxy the stringers and deck properly, so much of that filler foam that holds water. It's unfortunate that youve gotten a polished turd. You've got so much in it now with the work you've done that there's no way out, only forward, right? Keep up the work.... No boat is perfect, i thought when john said "maybe you shouldnt have done this" i was waiting for him to say "its not worth saving this boat" ....Keep your head up. I know you don't want to hear this, but maybe fix it and sell that thing- those 14 degree deadrise parkers ride like crap and they're slow as hell. They are pretty nice to fish from though. love you and love your videos thanks man.

I'm now a follower. I did this a few years ago to my bass boat. NOT FUN. I ended up draining my tank and cutting it out in pieces. I went from a 26 gallon to a 19 gallon replacement. This was not fun at all. I admire you for doing this yourself. Most people would have just sold the boat or scrap it. Your boat was probably built like mine. All wiring and pumps and tanks were put in, then the top cap put down on top. Took me a couple days to do it, and I wouldn't want to do it again.. good luck brotha

Not even thinking of the future in the first I was looking at,I asked the salesman at the boat show about access to the fuel cell. He said just cut the floor out. Didn’t buy it. Fast forward on the boat I bought. Started smelling fuel years later. Ended up moving the console for access. Luckily only issue was the gasket on top of the tank. Scary, my brother was a heavy smoker. Used to crouched on the floor above the tank to light up if it was a windy. Very scary. Luckily we didn’t have to go through what you did. Love your videos.

I went through this last year but my boat has two 115 gallon tanks. Make sure to have your new tank epoxy coated. Also make sure water can drain from under the tank. That foam just traps water. My tanks we put a couple of rubber strips a few inches wide front to back for the tank to sit on leaving about an inch airspace underneath for water to drain to the bilge. Not side to side. That will trap the water.

Start by removing the fuel line pump out the fuel tank or drain it being very careful because it is explosive disconnect. The filler anything that’s connected to that tank. It’s gotta come loose then start removing the foam you can take scrapers and remove the foam on the outer perimeters, the fuel tanks should come out fairly easy but you’re gonna need prybars. I wish I was there. I could definitely show you how to get it done. I’ll keep watching the video and see what else I think. Definitely don’t throw the piece of fiberglass you took out away you can be used, if it’s not saturated with water

the grounding wire caused electrolysis? i thought the grounding wire was to stop static shock -explosion. I think the sand in tank and any fiction points could be the issue. Usually you test the tank with air pressure 3-4 lbs to see it it holds first.
