I've been watching your channel for a year now and enjoy every minute...including periodic rants. I used to help hay, small bales, one a farm in Michigan and watching you handle day-to-day chores really takes me back. So I guess I'm living vicariously thru you. I'm 63 now and retired, with disabilities, and regret not getting back into farming years ago when I got out of the Navy. I may try a small 20 acre homestead in a year or so. My submarine made several ports in Subic Bay when the Navy base was still in Olongapo, so your visits to the PI is an added bonus. Of course I was there in the '70s and 'things' were MUCH different then. Love your channel! Piss on the trolls and continue with the farming chores that best work for you! - John

I always liked how for the most part you were supportive of people till they screwed you over. I would do the same. I really enjoy your channel, Iv learned a lot I have even started doing 85% of my own repair just from watching your videos on the 4960. Sorry for the long winded comment. Thanks again for taking the time out of your day to share with us. Oh and you mentioned you might like the 7930 with the ivt transmission in it!, we have one and that's what I run my baler with. I actually try to ignore the trolls on any channel you have perhaps one of the nicest done channels related to farming on you tube... I have gotten into it with some of these folks myself referencing your massey ferguson Windrower video... still get blasted for agreeing with your opinion... I mechanic work for a living and operate class 8 trucks as well. I have to say that video was honest assesment and agree becuase I know the components and the principles of operations of those same components... your arguements against were concise and accurate... I would put my ASE cert and your daily activities up against their flawed opinions anyday.... thanks for the videos and keep em coming. Enjoy every one...

I'm a retired trucker who has hated OTR USA & Canada. In the 70's I was an exempt hauler of North America Commodities and farm loaded a lot. I enjoy your adventures and I can relive past events I had with farmers I USA and Canada. I use to smuggle Canadian grain into Aberdeen GRAIN sales as Canada controls Canadian grain market and farmer are screwed. So to get some cash money, they would spot sell USA if they could sneak it i. But that is another time and old story.

Would you consider keeping the 8120 - that's a very good tractor - good for tedding and bale hauling
@davidrowley82517 жыл бұрын
Donald Ellett That 8120 is a good backup to run the Krone baler. It is also good on the stack wagon, but is overkill and less maneuverable for the tedder or mower or rake, with a 117" wheelbase. The 7530 has a 106" wheelbase, making it more maneuverable on a tedder, rake or mower.
@donald10567 жыл бұрын
How do you get overkill - when he's using a 7530 or 8530 tractors - he talks about the comfortable seat which is very important - maybe he could get an updated seat for a better ride - in some cases it maybe an overkill - but the tractor is paid for

MrDastram Hay crops generally increase in quality the number of times they're cut but they also generally decrease in quantity the number of times they're cut per year. As to why the mushroom barns only want 1st cut hay, no idea. Doesn't make sense to me haha.
@onelonleyfarmer7 жыл бұрын
ok the reason they do not usually take it 2nd that is because the bacteria can not move freely in the rick.
