Had this wheel for a month now with the new r16 base. I think the wheel is absolutely perfect. Built like a tank, but not too heavy to lose detail in ffb. The ergonomics are perfect, the grip material seems to be very strong, the thumb rotaries are just the right stiffnes. Big thumbs up from me

The wheel does come with mute pads. The same ones as on the KS just the KS has them pre installed.

I really think that you should look through the manual that's included in the box and the additional things that come in the box before making a review video and talking at length about the noise of the shifters. They include noise dampeners that are optional that you can install on the shifter pedals. There's even a video on their official KZbin channel showing how to place them. It significantly reduces the clicking noise.
@DigitRacingDG Жыл бұрын
Of course, there is, I tried the dampening kit (not mentioned in the video) but found a little decrease in noise. Unfortunately, the rubber pads are not thick enough and do not significantly reduce noise. Pads should be thicker to make serious noise reduction.

My GS V2P did not come with damping pads (but did come with the small Allen key).
@GarretLarson10 ай бұрын
@@johnsyeats2044 they are just little felt pads with sticky tape. So anything that's like that you can use. Or you could just contact Moza and they'll send you out one.

you're getting really good at making these types of videos. the steering wheel looks fantastic

Thanks, I try to do better each time I do it

NOTE: The wheel includes rubber pads that can be added to the shifters. Although, I would recommend adding a thicker damping kit to the shifter pedals. Tutorial here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZ-sZ6WnhdtnaZo

I like stuff that makes sounds in my sim rig. I get its personal preference but I don’t see it as a negative at all.

Great video! right now im looking to heavily upgrade my sim setup. Right now I just have an old thrustmaster, and am contemplating to go with moza or fanatec, which I see you have both of. If you could give me some advice on which one you prefer and whatever that'd be wonderful. Thank you!

So, the back is made of carbon fiber too?
@AdrenaLukeYT11 ай бұрын
I could be wrong, but I think the front is a 5mm plate of forged carbon fiber that goes throughout (even underneath the leather grips) but the back behind that 5mm plate is plastic with a carbon fiber finish to it (AKA they make it look like the back is also carbon fiber, when it isnt) Even if that's true (which I could be wrong) that's still better than the original (non V2 wheel) where the back was just painted solid black so it was obviously plastic to anyone that saw it. This is especially better for people that livestream or do videos of sim racing where their camera is facing them, because their viewers are seeing the back of the wheel, not the front.
@johnsyeats204410 ай бұрын
The back is plastic, textured to look like forged carbon fibre. It's reasonably convincing at a distance but definitely plastic. The wheel does still feel very rigid and premium.

Where is the RJ connection so you can connect it to the universal hub? 🤔
@ice-cream99 Жыл бұрын
Is the buttons the same as on the KS or the same as the GS has had?

Man😮 I believe they missed an opportunity to add the RJ in the back for hub use with other bases :/

Does anyone know, if Moza is planning on releasing a V2P Version of the RS wheel?
@Racle8 ай бұрын
Isn't price comparison is little off as EU price includes VAT and US price doesn't 😅 $439 + 20% (vat) = $526 479€ to usd = $520 used estimated VAT. In Finland it's 24% and ex. in Germany it's 19%
@DigitRacingDG8 ай бұрын
Taxes are different of course. I did not mention that this also includes import and all fees related to it. Now MOZA has WH in Europe so that will be avoided. So, the difference would be $83. And of course in US taxes are much lower, so the real difference would be around $50-$60.
@KevKlopper7 ай бұрын
@@DigitRacingDG wait than the EU version is cheaper currently. 1 euro cheaper if you assume the additional 7 percent sales tax in the US.
