I have to be honest, if the price is the same as Fanatec, what would be the appeal? Fanatec has more wheels, local service centers, console compatibility. I'd love to try a non Fanatec product but if they're not making the price competitive, it's a lot of risk for not much reward. You'd have to ship it to China to get it fixed.
@jcoulter433 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. Known, established product = Fanatec. Unknown, upstart product = Moza. The stuff looks nice, but if it's priced the same or similar as Fanatec stuff, I'm buying Fanatec all day long. Also, who thought it was a good marketing idea to label the pedals as "CRP"? Lost in translation apparently.... 💩
@AmirPomen3 жыл бұрын
Atleast for simagic, they hare more and more dealer network that ready for any customer service/warranty/repair purpose... I would guess similar effort would follow suits this moza as well... Also.. i think almost everyone were a bit skeptical about these china brands sim product... But as for simagic..i would say..its really back for buck and in fact is really close to fanatec level... As for myself...fanatec is beyond my reach.. or even this moza... But simagic is within reach... Atleast their alpha mini, wheel options and feature, hydraulic pedal unit, sequential shifter were top notch
@Clonetrooper11393 жыл бұрын
Fair point, but if they make a strong permeatation into the market, it could be a motivation to expand outside of China. They definitely seem to have confidence in their product. Besides Will, DaveCam also received Moza equipment.

Fanatec only ship to a handful of countries, which people from 70% of the other countries still can't buy any of their stuff. The concern about shipping to China for repairs is moot, because Fanatec don't offer local support either.

I have a moza gimbal for one of our cameras and I have been really impressed with the brand in that space. Build quality is great and haven't had any issues. Shame this seems to be PC only though as I have guys I race with on xbox as well. It seems like a lot of money to ask from a relatively unknown brand, with an essentially 1 wheel offering and lower power figures than fanatec. A more competitive introductory price, especially given the existence of the CSL DD, may have worked a bit better. Excited to see where this goes though.

Within 5 days of the initial email we had it. @@acnamehere And for everyone like you there may be hundreds or thousands like myself that have used multiple Fanatec products within multiple tier levels of their product offerings that have not had the first minute of problems or even one failure of any kind out of their offerings. For me so far Fanatec has delivered those products that just work and have needed no customer service intervention, for myself that keeps me coming back and buying their products with feeling I have no need to switch to a different brand when I am happy within the current Fanatec eco system.

They look absolutely beautiful. But.. as some have pointed out there are questions. I mean any time you attempt to penetrate an existing market, especially one that has substantial competition you have to differentiate your product and your brand. Is there a performance advantage? Serviceability advantage, cost advantage? How do they intend to steal customers from the manufacturers that dominate already? Unless I missed something I have not heard anything overwhelming or compelling to indicate any of that. The build quality looks absolutely amazing (i spent 20 years in machining, manufacturing, and project management and i'm impressed), but sounds like the pricing is on par with similar product. As some of mentioned... servicing the product would likely require shipping back to China unless they set up international service points. But everything else is eye candy at this point. It feels though as if they missed an opportunity... with Fanatec releasing the CSL DD... THAT is where they should have entered the market... competing with that. Come in with a similar product maybe with more options and stronger build... if pricing was right i bet people would jump in. Then... a year or two after that, come out with something bigger and better that inspires people to step up and get a wheelbase on par with the next tier up. I want to see this company become successful..... but I think it will be hard to steal the clients over. I look forward to hearing how the setup performs and the durability! Cool looking setup.

Not that I can afford any high end DD (just ordered CSL DD), but I really don't like the design of this one. Props to Monza for putting in effort, but to me it looks like a high end material version of a cheap wheel somehow, like a DD version of a TM base. It just seems too much like a toy to me. I guess I just like the 'black boxes' form format almost all DD wheels come in. On the topic of design choices, the new TM T248 wheel rim, omg! It screams 'don't play sims on this one, this is for City Car Driving or Euro Truck Simulator' to me. You'd think any non-entry-level wheel from Logitech or Thrustmaster would like to make itself appeal more to racing. But hey, maybe I'm out of touch. I didn't study marketing, only product design.

I do not have a problem with the company being Chinese at all as many WELL MADE PC game controllers are produced by Chinese companies but no track record as of yet for this company. Also since you were given these items free of charge you have no idea what this company will be like as far as speed of fulfilling and shipping orders, customer service or warranty issues. Expectations can be whatever you want them to be but until this brand has been around long enough to establish their own track record for their products and their customer service why should consumers take the risk to switch from more established brands? Its surely not because they are offering a great price or their products do what the more established brands are not already doing.
