Mozart - Don Giovanni - Sutherland, Kraus, Lorengar, Siepi, Flagello / Böhm - Met, 17 January 1967

This is a performance of Don Giovanni taken directly from the Metropolitan's
housewires. There are disturbing interruptions in the music by the stage director cuing in the singers. A strong limiter was used during the recording,
therefore the voices sound rather dry, still very clear. The recording has historical value because of Alfredo Kraus singing the Ottavio. In the broadcast the role was sung by Nicolai Gedda. So far a better recording with Kraus from the Mets Don Giovanni has not turned up yet! The prompter is very audible !
