I have listen to a few sopranos in my life, but for some reason Sandrine Piau is the only one I have ever liked. She sings like an angel 😇

@@MoonJung82 It's the best, IMHO, and stands head and shoulders above this sad attempt! I say sad, rather than bad because I know that this singer is fully capable of singing this piece *very* well! I don't understand why she didn't sing it well, but this is NOT an excellent rendition! It's like she was fighting with the music! It's not well done.

This is rather sad. She has the voice and technique, but it's as though she doesn't know what she's singing about, which is something I sincerely doubt. I cannot comprehend why she fights with a piece of music that should be treated tenderly; almost mystically. After all, she's singing about the Incarnation of Christ! You can't get much more mystical than that!! If anyone would like to know what I'm talking about, check out Arleen Auger with Leonard Bernstein. It's like the difference between night and day! I'm going there now, to get this sad sound out of my head.

i think the answer lies in the tempo, slightly too fast, check her version of 2003 is slower (and in baroque pitch) and more delicate. so i don know who decides in the end on the tempo of this piece, i doubt its her preferred tempo
