It is certainly excellent, and one of the great! But for THE greatest, I urge you to hear Worthy is the Lamb and Amen in Handel's Messiah. We may hear Amen all by itself, but to truly affirm the word Amen, we need to know what comes just earlier, and that is Worthy is the Lamb. It is vital to see the lyrics of Worthy is the Lamb, and then move with the orchestra into the Amen.

Saludos 😊❤

What a superb performance!! I have been listening the Mozart's Requiem for about 40 years and this is certainly one of the best performances of this great work that I have ever heard. The orchestra - superb clarity and execution, the woodwinds - so central to the piece - exquisite! The timpanist - bang on in keeping the measure of the work, the brass section - incredible control and timing, the strings - beautifully clear and precise. The choir - excellent indeed! A special mention to the sopranos in the Domine Jesu at around 27:30 - stunning!!! But, all the sections of the choir thought were exceptional. If you are reading this and haven't given yourself to listen to this in full then I highly recommend you do. Thank you all for such a wonderful rendition of this glorious piece!!!!

21:11 features Clark Kent on the viola! That man can do it all... Also I love the woman in the audience behind the conductor, down low to the far left. She constantly closes her eyes during the piece and puts the most serene smile on her face. She doesn't want any sensory input other than audio, and her contentment shows.

An out of this world performance. This piece of music has always been sacred to me. For over 40 years. So many thoughts have always flied through my mind when listening to it. You can see in the faces of the performers that this is life and death music. It is not entertainment, it's so ripe of meaning it's almost scary. Today, during the corona hardship this brings a special meaning to me. On a daily basis I think of all those people who have died during this pandemic, and I am still alive. Many of them have payed with their lives for our freedom. For my freedom. In particular in Sweden who didnt have any lock down. I feel like the guilty one and have an obligation to do better. Mozarts Requiem is one of very few things that can express what I feel, and as the lyrics says, let all light be on them and may they rest in peace.
