Did they cut his arias? How hard would the arias be for a treble? I wish I Could have been that little boy!!!! Who exactly is the singer?

I can't recall his name. Arbate has only one aria, and it was cut in this production. Ponnelle did a bit of creative readjusting, making Arbate the youngest of Mitridate's sons and casting a boy soprano in the part.

Why does Ismene look for a man at the very beginning of this clip? Is she really trying to find a love?

Ismene is looking for comfort from the other men. She is disconcerted by Farnace's coldness, and senses he no longer loves her. She is right.
