Symphony No. 40 in G Minor, K. 550 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was composed in 1788 and it is one of only two symphonies he wrote in minor keys. It reflects his interest in the artistic movement known as Sturm und Drang (Storm and Stress), in which darker and stronger emotions were showcased.
