Wow! The most expressive high note ever! How can one produce a vibrato that high and soft? She is beyond ordinary human in her control and agility. She is high above an ordinary soprano. What a beautiful and high calibre sound!

It’s faked by raising the larynx. Trouble is, over time it restricts the entire sound and creates a wobble or a minuscule voice over time with a shrunk range. She gets away with it because it’s a high voice. You can see how she opens her mouth and the throat box goes up. It should descend.

I have never heard a soprano control the pianissimi as well as Ms Devieilhe. Evident in a number of recordings captured on KZbin. Both precise and expressive without a hint of schmaltz.

La naissance de l’aria K. 418, conçue précisément pour tirer le meilleur parti d’un virtuose dont Mozart connaissait parfaitement les moyens et admirait au plus haut degré, ici Aloysia . "Vorrei spiegarvi, oh Dio" K. 418 est une aria « substitut » sur un texte d’anonyme conçu pour être introduit dans l’opéra Il curioso indiscreto de Pasquale Anfossi, mis en scène à Vienne à cette époque. Cela était très courant et Mozart en écrivit une cinquantaine. Sabine Devieilhe est come toujours extraordinaire pour sa diction et son articulation parfaite de toutes les différentes langues et donc une bonne compréhension pour l'auditeur, ce qui est assez rare. Et par la qualité, elle est la nouvelle diva française.
