Although the pictures are quite nice, this video explains very little about what finally »shaped« a prodigy. I think its mor a tourism promotion effort for the beautyful town of Salzburg. About young Mozart I learned very little and that little content was repeated several times. Some room for content improvement.

Yes, I was thinking the same that it seemed more a advertisement for Salzburg than anything about Mozart. I could have learned more about him by looking it up online.

It's a shame to see that Salzburg was turned into a "tourist trap" just as Shakespeare's home town of Stratford in the UK has been. It's obvious from this video that the people of Salzburg Do NOT Really Give A Damn About Mozart beyond making a lot of money from his fame. And this filmmaker seems to fall in line with all those in Salzburg who pander Mozart for a profit. This isn't an Art Film about Mozart. It's a shameless tourist promotion film about the town where he was born. This video was a waste of 25 minutes of my life that are now lost forever.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's music is undeniably a source of inspiration and innovation for people worldwide, enduring for eternity. Mozart's music is undoubtedly a divine gift to humanity. His work has the power to deeply touch the souls and hearts of many, evoking emotions ranging from love and joy to sorrow and happiness, and igniting passion and the immense power of freedom and destiny, transcending all boundaries. Mozart's music transcends all boundaries. It has served as an enduring source of inspiration for composers worldwide. Undoubtedly, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's musical contributions have left an indelible mark on humanity, destined to stand the test of time. Mozart's Musical Legacy: A Divine Gift to Humanity. Mozart created some of the finest music in the history of Western society during the 18th century. His work deeply resonates with the human experience, touching countless souls and hearts. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his music transcend borders, delivering remarkable performances that continue to captivate audiences. Personally, I feel his presence on his timeless journeys across the world, where he shares the full spectrum of human emotions-loneliness, sadness, and happiness. As I expressed in my poem, "Born to write, not an easy life," ‘The life of a writer’s - The Writer's Destiny’ is no simple journey. A writer's path is often challenging, as one might aptly put it. In a documentary about Mozart, one analyst wrote, "You cannot experience joy without pain, find solace without turmoil, or understand loss without knowing greed." I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment. Mozart's work is so human, he has touched many souls and hearts.

IIt is a good documentary for beginners. I watched one about Vivaldi and it mentions the Hotel Danieli. This one mentions the Goldener Herschel and one about Vienna mentions the Hotel Imperial. All are in the Marriott Luxury category. I know because I have planned a trip to Salzburg, Vienna and Venice in May-June 2022 and booked each. For a true music lover with some music education and historical academic knowledge, the documentary doesn’t satisfy, but I am using it for my grandson who is still learning. :-)

It would be great if the channel could provide the name of the songs in the tracks in each part of this movie, since it appears to be a nice insight to the music world for a broad public view.

I think this is mainly a tourist advertisement. It even indicates a specific hotel for those attending the Salzburg Festival. And what does the Salzburg marionette theatre, which opened 1913, have to do with shaping Mozart's life?

Sorry, this is not well put together. Simon Callow sounds as if he is reading from a script and not speaking from personal knowledge. Inexplicably at one point he says what remarkable music the eleven year-old Mozart could write but in the video we are then played his ‘Musical Joke’ K522 written when the composer was 31!

Yes, he did compose at age 5 and corrct he couldn't or had difficulty writing thr notes. So, he played and Leopold Mozart (Father) wrote them down. He could write notes before words.

@@guyanaspice6730 Dear Guyana: Your mind is much too programmed by Western Logical Thinking. Mozart was a prodigy, a born musical genius. There is NO logical explanation for that. Some people in the UK even dispute that Shakespeare was the true author of his plays. They say that his education was too deficient to have come up with such masterpieces. Again, logical thinking rejects "genius". Not everything in this world can be neatly packaged in a "logical box", Guyana. Western Logic and Western Science is only capable of capturing a small part of Reality. If you never had the courage to step beyond Western Logic and Science, then you won't even know what I'm talking about.

@@JosephKulik2016 i understand that genius defies logical thinking. i am also aware that a 6 month old infant can not waltz. there must be some questioning to his genius especially when his daddy was a composer. why discuss 'western thinking'. other parts of the world do not accept complete nonsense without questioning; they use 'western logic' too. sure, it's different, but they still use logic; it's not only in the West. and if you look at my channel i show i don't find 'Everything packaged in a logical box' as you insinuated. i show many things that are Not explained by logic and ignored by academics. plus, i'm not saying mozart was not a genius. just that early age writing language and composing aspect. that's all. clearly he must have played in front of crowds and i'm sure he composed them too. same goes for shakespeare.

Notorious falsification: the composer entitled himself as 'Wolfgang Amadé Mozart'. NOT Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (an invention by writer-musician and Mozart-fanatic E.T.A.Hoffmann). Mozart is referred to as 'Ritter von Mozart' (Knight von Mozart) on payment lists of the Imperial Accounts in Vienna, as he had become a nobleman since his elevation to a knighthood in a papal order. RESPECT THIS (and don't make a fool of yourself by repeating above mentioned falsification)
