First published by André in 1799; contemporary writer stated work had been written around 1784 and played to the young Violinist Johann Friedrich Eck in Munich by Mozart, although Constanze stated if authentic it dated prior to this; K1 placed in works of 1776; in later 19th Century believed first and last movements might contain some Mozart material later reworked by unskilled hand; Oldman believed stylistically similar to Sinfonia Concertante K.365 and work was completed by Eck; K3 placed in 1780; K6 removed from authentic works. Comparing Concerto with known Violin Concertos by Eck, Lebermann (Musikforschung-1978) concludes works is probably by Eck and written sometime before 1790."

I personally buy the theory that this is Johann Friedrich Eck working with ideas from Mozart.. the overall structure, invention and harmonies aren't as great as Mozart (especially since this comes after his 5th Violin Concerto I think) but there are nice ideas there. There is also some unmistakable wit and humour there too, for instance just after 7:00 I think he's clearly playing around with the old "trill on the supertonic at a cadence" thing you hear in many Classical era works.. Perhaps Eck wrote better stuff, it's a shame his works are (to my knowledge) lost.

The symphonic structure seems to closely related to Mozart, the technique needed in the solo doesn't seem to be Mozart though

Indeed. The solo is very mechanical, academic and pretty average for the time period. Attractive music, sure. But Mozart never stooped this low as he adhered to the high standards he set for himself.

Questionably at best to be written by Mozart plus at least one more, #7 by Marius Casadesus who "achieved perhaps his greatest fame (or notoriety) through his association with the Adélaïde Concerto attributed to Mozart". (Wikipedia)

I don't believe somehow this is Mozart . The Serenades and Divertimenti have much concertante in them ! Better playing might show another side to this music . Also the piano concerti are fine from 1 to 27 and all of them except 1-5 get pklayed and programmed - his music rarely has all these other instrumental soli too. At his worst Mozart is never this dull . Maybe some of it but the transitions and somuch of the material just doesnt have Hadyn or Mozart in it . Some places I like but they show more difficulty than Mozart ever gave tohis soloviolin music .Makes one thinkhe never heard an Italian violin concerto ! Thirds ? and the high register here ain't Mozart thouh I wish he had given us something like it. The Sinfonia Concertante and 3,4,5 are so superior to this as are somany of the quartets and divertimenti. Even the 1st subject doesnt convince me.The last measures of 1st mov could be . Only one mov. extant. I gotta read story behind this . He wrote concerti for many instrumentsbassoon,flute even that harp which he hated.Noone may have comissioned any violin concerti and he didnt concertize onit after the earlier ones so iguess he never needed to write a big great one.4 & 5 are big, great enough. It would be so nice to find another. I'll have to hear he small mov he did write elsewhre ! This aint it !

Just listened 1st movement. Like others opinions, this work was definitely not by Mozart. For example, the double stops from 2:40 sounds very strange to me, and it was definitely not Mozart style. Also, the phrases from 6:57 to 7:20….. if you guys play piano,try it on your piano, it will give you a strange feeling, because I think the composer must inspired from Mozart’s piano concertos. Through entire first movement, Mozart might helped this composer on this work.

So schlecht ist das Konzert wirklich nicht! Dass man in Gesamteinspielungen immer darauf verzichtet, ist genau wie bei KV 271a nicht nachvollziehbar. Danke fürs Hochladen, solche Musik braucht neue Freunde, nicht immer nur das Abgedroschene, das die Konzertprogramme beherrscht.

I think from all the 7 concertos this is the least sounding Mozart, in those times using famous composers names was a thing, so probably this is not Mozart
