Yeah I’ve never had that issue before in my 25 years of mucking around with bikes. Hopefully will get a video out on this one next weekend. It’s already been handed over to a very chuffed niece and I’m working on 4 other bike at the same time 🤦‍♂️they are like busses…Might have picked up 2 Marins in the last week, one proper crust and the other is a swamp donky! But the elder of the 2 I can’t figure out what year it is from the catalogs. Check out my latest short.

That bottom bracket is not worth putting on anything now its started slipping. I always tap my tool on with a hammer with them bottom brackets, just a few taps nothing too hard. Them bolts underneath are not for a bottle holder, they are for a mud guard.

It'd be too low for a mud guard. They're definitely water bottle cage mounts, you can tell from the spacing too
