This movie was created in 1955 by the Harry S. Truman Library Corporation, produced and narrated by Phil Koury, to be used in the campaign to raise funds to build the Harry S. Truman Library in Independence, Missouri. The film reviews the major events of President Truman's administration and shows Mr. Truman in Independence. Mr. Truman discusses the location and vision for his future Presidential Library. It features early archives staff J.R. Fuchs and Philip Lagerquist working on the papers of the President’s office; as well as Independence Mayor Mayor Robert Weatherford, Tom Evans, and Lon Gentry reviewing library plans and the site of the future library.
