The issue is the eprom chip inside. They tend to go after a while. Replace the chip and it should work. They are usually $20

Either bad floppies or bad disk drive

happens to me with gotex usb. What I do is power it without the usb in, wait for a few seconds, then put in the usb and it boots fine

I have the exact same problem right now (WTF!!?!?!? I NEED THIS SHIT FIXXXED!!!) I think it has something to do with the floppy disk drive. Both my startup disks worked fine. I blew lots of contact cleaner in the disk drive and all in the machine...still nothing. Probably going to order disk drive and do it myself..then upgrade to an MPC1000 lol

lol il tell you whats going on its because you dont have your floppy drive installed correctly you got the long black plug in upside down plugged in the floppy drive you gotta unscrew the the top plate then test out the floppy drive upside up or down you got it wrong ways or maybe the floppy drive aint even plugged in the mpc who knows buts its definitely the floppy drive

Maybe try another floppy disk with a different version? I think there are different versions of OS updaters floppy disk that you can find on ebay.

i just got that issue myself it was working then went too not loading to disk read error

maybe your disk got erased near a magnet or a speaker. or your disk drive is dirty. try a floppy disk drive cleaning kit.
