Thanks! That answers all my questions!!! Been working on iPad with AUM and LK and been wanting to enhance the workflow through an MPC LIVE II, but was worried about losing all the work I have put into AUVs and customizing Instruments etc., also losing all the wonderful filters and effects one can find on IOS! Definitely going for an MPC now! Great tutorial, great knowledge drop and good vibes!

Thanks so much my man! I’ve really gotten into iOS music making during the pandemic and have downloaded some really stellar apps, which has sparked a greater desire to learn and grow in music productions. I just got an MPC Live 2 today (I’m in love!), and this really helps me tie those two worlds together. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion with all of us!

This is really great! I just found you the other day and have been watching your Live 2 tutorials. I like your style, the way you break it down makes it easier for me to understand. I’ll be picking up a Live 2 in the near future. Thank you for spending your time making quality content to help others!

Hello, How to insert midi keyboard in this configuration?
@poeticgeenetikstv46723 жыл бұрын
Look out BOW!! Since the 2.10 MPC software update yesterday is it possible to just take the IRIG straight in the MPC LIVE, or through the Focusrite, connected to the MPC.?
@davidthomas80562 жыл бұрын
Be careful… I used the links in this description and they sent me the wrong midi cable. I only needed one of those since I bought the irig pro io but I lost one of them so I ordered one from here and it doesn’t fit in the midi port it fits into the headphone jack

I seen a video saying you could sample FROM the ipad TO an MPC with the lightning adapter. Can you sample an MPC INTO an ipad with the lightning adapter also?

Do I ultimately need the midi cables?
@MarcusElbow3 жыл бұрын
You can do this via Bluetooth as well but my testing results favored me using midi cables instead. 🙏🏾👊🏾

Question...Why do you need the midi cables when Mpc has Bluetooth capabilities? Could you just link your IPad or IPhone to the Bluetooth?
@MarcusElbow3 жыл бұрын
Latency issues, but yeah it can be done.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing, eliminating the midi cords, I think he was showing us multiple ways.

Instead of recording it, could you bounce the midi to audio?
@Romenet3103 жыл бұрын
Unless you are performing live, Bluetooth midi is the way to go here. Latency is almost non existent. Then you are only looking at getting the audio out and in that case all you need is one cable or a cable and an adapter. Just my opinion.
@MarcusElbow3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Chris. I tested this using Bluetooth and there was some small latency there but yes it can be done without getting these cables but it will depend on your tolerance for latency.

Thanks this was very helpful vs spending almost 200 for a device that was not needed with my Live 2 and New 12.9 IPad Pro all was needed was a usb c to aux cord and over Bluetooth I hard no perceivable latency
@bboymac843 жыл бұрын
you can actually do the same with less wires. I can show you

@@MarcusElbow it will mainly work with old iPhones 📱. All you really need is the camera adapter and plug the MPC in via usb. Done. Now just use you phones aux. with new iPhones you might need another splitter or a powered usb hub.
@MarcusElbow3 жыл бұрын
Oh okay. Yeah I tried many ways to do this with the camera kit but with the new phones sending audio is impossible! 🙏🏾👊🏾
@bboymac843 жыл бұрын
@@MarcusElbow yea that’s why suggest using a powered hub or just use an old iPhone.
