I got the 505 too. I was able to emulate the Lofi sample rate sound on the Force with the Drum FX which is the same on the MPC & I think a LPF in the filter section. Don't remember the exact settings, it's somewhere in my notes. Drum FX: Bit crush=9-11.5 Decimator=4.1 Lowpass=??? & maybe 1 of the LPF in the filter section. Overall just wanted you & others to know it possible to get that sound just take time to mess with all the tools parameters & BAM! No need to use the 505 for it's "dirty sound". The 505 do have a better Phaser IMO.

Thanks for sharing! Do you make beats with the 505? I have never made anyhthing that I liked on it, I guess its a totally different mindset than what I’m used to.

@ambrushadam I don't make beats on the 505 anymore. I got it back in 2003 & made over 60 beats. Then, I got the MPC1K in 2005, which was way better, especially with JJ OS. Then, I got the Yamaha RS7000 in 2013, which has a better sequencer but not sampler, IMO. Got the Force in 2021 & never want to make a beat on an MPC ever, but even the RS made me feel that way. Clip based sequencers are better for my creative style. In Nov 2019, I started moving all my beats from all devices that I've used into the Force & recently moved about 45 SP505 beat that was worth keeping. I'm currently moving about 60 beats from the 1k. I got 5 left to go. Since the Force & MPC sequencers & other unique JJOS2XL features aren't compatible, it's more difficult than you'd think, but having those old beats on a new beast is worth it. Next is the 20 beats on the RS7000. In Nov 2022 I found 3 beat cassette tapes from 2003-2004 that I didn't even know I still had that contained about 65 beats mainly from my DR202 I got in 2002 that died & I thought I lost all those beat with it. Then BAM! I found those tape & wanted to fuckin cry I was so happy! Now I'm in the process of making a 5 album epic from sampling my own beats. This has been a very tedious but amazing process. Peace✌🏾

@@Noise-Conductor wow! Amazing story! 20 years of beats! I have not systematically archived stuff like that. My process have been like forget about the old beats and move on 😂 Old beats might have a cool idea that can be re-imagined though. I want to hear that epic album when you’re done!

@@ambrushadam People say Art-piece like a painting or song is like their kids, if so don't abandon your kids, well at least not the ones with potential. At first you don't how to make them their best, some beats need you to grow as an artist to bring out the best in them. Other beats make you grow as a artist. Anyway I just upload my first KZbin video using my first & last pieces of gear. The Boss DR202 I got in 2002 & the Akai Force I got in 2021. Nice combo!
