"hazing" is only implemented as a test to ascertain the conviction of the would-be member/s' to join the organization - it may not be necessarily acts of violence or any action that would result into the would-be member/s' injury. this is often a misconstrued act or belief often resulting into physical injury to an individual or individuals (there are other NON-VIOLENT methods or so-called test/s after all) - this is what is "terribly wrong" to those implementing the "hazing".... this casts a dark shadow affecting all existing organizations which tests applicant/s' conviction to become a member. the organization should realize the potential of applicants (not only physical) that would be beneficial to the organization - like intellect, wisdom, dedication, character, etc. which are not tested in this VIOLENT act. eh papano kung patpatin, may hika, may sakit sa puso, etc.? these traits would be detrimental or even fatal to those applicants if subjected to such VIOLENT hazing rituals. organizations should adjust accordingly to meet organizational objectives such as personal development of its members, continuance of their education (within the school), intellectual upliftment, inter-personal skills, strength of character, and so on, instead of only physical characteristics alone. this incident is truly sad and regrettable!
