This applies to boy groups too, you know. You don't see many ladies screaming at 2PM or Super Junior anymore... It doesn't really matter if AOA has screaming fanboys or not, because AOA never had a lot of fans. They're a publicly recognized group with a few trendy songs. As for AOA, they aren't at the position they were in 2015 as a result of a few incidents and the blackout, but they can score decent ratings on variety shows and consistently trend on social media sites. The AOA brand is unusually strong for a group that doesn't have many fans, and they have to trend as a group (Seolhyun can trend by herself though); the members are surprisingly unknown to the public. As for groups like Red Velvet, TWICE, and BLACKPINK aren't popular necessarily because they're young, but because their group images makes it harder for netizens to bruise without feeling guilty. (Happens all the time lol.) The same image also attracts the same dedicated fanbase that supports their work, which makes them seem more popular to international K-Pop fans who can only come in contact with fans. Nobody outside of English speaking fans' bubbles talk about K-Pop obviously. I think netizens only say things like this because of AOA's idol image. Think of it like Kim Kardashian and her family actually. I think I've said negative things about her on a few occasions. It seems very easy to do this due to her image, but perhaps she isn't that bad if I actually get to know her. I'm not interested though, so whatever. AOA had a number of series of controversies as well which makes them seem like bad rebel girls on the surface, and with their idol image (although as idols, hopelessly false), paints a negative image in internet people. Have people thought of this? I'll have to think about this on my own sometime...

Why do they go after very young girls? I've seen the videos, there are swarms of them. I don't really care about branding or fanbase dedication or netizen hate I know how that works. Also your Kardashian schpeal makes no sense, most of her male following is grown men. It matches. Twice's fanboy following is mostly grown men which doesn't make sense cuz they're made up of high schoolers and young college aged kids for the most part.

TWICE isn't a male dominant fanbase. It's mostly dominated by younger females (similar to Girls' Generation). The older male demographic is there, but it's smaller than the younger male demographic or older female demographic. And a good portion of the male fanbase is gay... But that was the intent, to be listened to by the general public. Their alignment makes them look very popular compared to non-fanbase centric groups like AOA. And there's mostly nothing sexual about it, outside of sites like DC Gallery and stuff. If the age of idol groups align with their gender and age range, then most idol groups in general wouldn't make very sense. SEVENTEEN would have be comprise of 13 year old boys. Girls' Generation would be sort of group become slightly younger, and a bunch of guys. Nothing would happen to NCT DREAM lol. And Kim Kardashian isn't actually popular with men, though if she was, she'd be more comparable with AOA.

Why mostly female groups have older male fans? I'm not a gender studies expert, but I've noticed that in marriage, males are usually older than the females. It's a similar idea as females finding a boy group unattractive because they're too young. Uh... things like this are kind of controversial. I'm sure a lot of guys are careful about it though. Well, once I think about it more, South Korea is a strange country. Almost every A-list celebrity is under 30, including males. But for males, it's forced by mandatory military service. Most celebrities establish themselves young, so guys can't enlist early, but military service is literally a 2 year radio science, and celebrities can't usually recover from it. Older women don't usually stan boy groups, but they may admire younger actors, since dramas are kind of designed for adults in mind. Or not, because women typically find younger men less attractive. It's forced, anyway. As for girls, it's the natural progression of female celebrities everywhere in the world actually. Start out broke. Get lucky and pretty and shoot to national fame. Then it's the battle to stay relevant and interesting. Though as I said before, AOA isn't irrelevant yet.

And AOA's song isn't doing well digitally. It's actually a good argument that AOA's declining. But in this case, just saying, but it's doing proportionally worse digitally than the fanbase indicator number of physical albums, and the full album is more pricier than their typical mini-albums. Which means they lost public interest, *not* their apparently old male fanbase. I don't really understand why this is the case though... maybe it's a combination of radio silence and the time it took for the big history controversy to reach the majority of the general public. AOA never got good press, but it's been more negative than usual (there's the dating scandal, for a pretty young idol too). But I'm getting off topic again.
