I think is because he has anxiety, you can see photos or videos of him going out of shows always with a member and looking down, he has social anxiety, maybe he is going to terapy so it's better for him not to be on spotlight that much, so if he gets more lines for now, it will trigger his anxiety..I know how of a vocal he is, i adore him and I can see he had fiew lines, but i also don't complain, time will get him more lines when he feels confident and well with being an idol and on spotlight.
