+Killians .Hooker Excellent point about the "modern" characters forgetting about stuff the older ones wouldn't even know about. Which reminds me of a couple of things that have been bothering me about this show. 1) The town of Storybrooke is cut off from the rest of the world magically, yet they still have a port, a power station, electricity, cell phone reception etc. How are they able to have all this (including fresh food supplies for Granny's, gas for the cars and trucks etc) without the outside world noticing them vanishing? 2) As has been established since season 1, Storybrooke has a library. Will Scarlet was once found in said library holding a copy of Alice in Wonderland, the story from which he and many other characters originated. My point is this: The characters in the town are "literature made life", and whilst some of them have existed in fairytale for millenia (eg Snow White etc), others were specifically created by an author and published on a specific date in the real world. What I mean by this is that Captain Hook for example literally didn't exist until JM Barrie wrote him in 1904, likewise for countless more characters. So how would/do these characters react when confronted by the book from which they were spawned?
