Well, they're all in their 40's I imagine, and her ice powers were discovered when Ingrid was like 10, so it's been 30 years of accidents, excuses, and lying to the people of Arendelle. Not to mention Ingrid was always inside, so it was always Helga and Gerda together, growing closer while consequently ostracizing Ingrid, even if they didn't mean to.

when I watched this episode,I felt it!Helga loved her sister Ingrid,believed in her,trusted her,had faith in her more than Gerda ever did💔for me she was only acting all those years to make Helga satisfied while was silent most of the times and even if she loved Ingrid,her fear from her was stronger than her family bond💔Poor Ingrid😭no wonder she doesn't trust Anna!I mean Anna is literally the alive imagination of Helga for Elsa but in the same time younger version of Gerda to Ingrid!

Before she was so afraid of her uncontrollable powers that she didn't trust herself to be around anybody at all and she isolated herself inside the castle and on the royal grounds, only allowing her sisters and parents to be near her and even then she kept them at a distance, still afraid of her powers until Rumplestiltskin gave her the gloves and the urn

In Once, they say evil isn't born its made. This is one of the most tragic moments in Once I have ever seen. I may still hate the Snow Queen, but now I understand why she's like this. And it's heartbreaking.

sonofhiro The Snow Queen isn't as bad as the other villains in the show. Regina, Zelena and Rumpletiltskin, are a lot worse than her. Ingrid isn't a bad person, she's just lonely and depressed. She has a good reason but in the end, she sacrificed herself.

Saddest scene I've viewed on any tv/movie in years. Just an amazing, truly well done show. I agree with others as well. It's kind of like "Ingrid is the rotten apple." Nope. It's Gerda. Seal her at the moment, but erase her existence from Arendelle and leave her trapped? Take her back to Rumple so she can have lessons. Also, Gerda sees her daughter has the same powers, and she gives her the gloves? And isolates her worse than Ingrid, expecting different results? She went to try to get rid of her powers somehow? Or she could've just taken Elsa with her. Yes, Ingrid's own fear of her power caused trouble, but Gerda screwed up everything, the past coming back full blast on Arendelle, mistreating her own daughter, and ultimately dying at sea...I say justice served.

For the people saying Gerda is a "bitch", haven't this show taught you anything about seeing situations from all sides? Gerda basically walked in on her sister's shattered corpse, I'd be pretty upset and fearful too. Gerda was reacting out fear and thought that this was a way to "contain" Ingrid so she isn't able to hurt anyone else. This wasn't like in the kid-friendly movie "Frozen" where Anna's hair turned grey and had the chills, this scene here is someone freezing up and dying instantly, it's understandable Gerda reacted the way she did.

I love the way they treat the characters in this story. The way that they changed it so that v monsters and evil aren’t born but rather made. I love the way that it shows the origins of the characters that are supposedly evil or monsters when in reality they aren’t.

Even though she only appeared one episode & least appearance out of 3 sisters, but Helga had a great impact to everything. Elsa & Anna are the mixture of Ingrid, Helga & Gerda. Elsa inherits Ingrid's ice power & part of Helga's brave, positive, strong personality. Anna inherits her mother's appearance & part of Helga's brave, strong faith to her sister. When Ingrid was released, she saw Elsa as herself & remind her of Helga, the sister who always supported & great faith in her. And Anna, she saw the fear in her and reminded her of Gerda, the sister who put her in the urn & lost faith in her.

Ingrid's powers couldn't be trusted. Even with her gloves. She already killed someone twice and attempted to kill someone else, even if he totally deserved it it's still wrong. If Gerda didn't do what she did it would put everyone else in danger. And it would be a bit difficult to explain to their father that her sister killed her other sister and that the sister that had killed the other sister was going to be queen and that someone already knew and was going to tell everyone. Plus Gerda was scared and heartbroken, she had just lost her sister and her other sister had been the one to kill her. And it don't think explaining would've helped, like oh yeah "I didn't mean to kill our sister. I was trying to kill someone else and she had just stepped in front of him at the last minute when it was too for me to do anything about it.". Sounds very innocent, doesn't it?

"All Magic comes with a Price" and this time it was Gerda's one to pay for getting Grand Pappie to erase all of Arendelle's memories of Ingrid and who she was, even Helga, making gerda an only child, even the Duke as well. Which is why in 'Frozen" the Duke had no recollection of Elsa having ice powers, I loved how that connected with the movie.

It was nice, the only disappointment I had was no Olaf, but Ingrid's pun of building a snowman to Elsa, was like the evil Snow Monster Elsa made in the film. So that was close to Olaf as we were going to get.

In Frozen 2, Elsa and Anna’s mother is named Iduna and was also born in the Enchanted Forest as a member of the Northuldra. Has this show lasted longer, Once Upon A Time could have used elements of Frozen 2.

I would like to point out that Gerda trapped Ingrid in there for killing their sister...But she erased both of her sisters from everyone's memory and if no one knew that Ingrid was in the urn then Ingrid would be in there forever, pretty much dead. But I actually feel bad for Gerda, she lost her sister and her other sister had been the one to kill her. It was an accident and Ingrid didn't mean to, but Gerda couldn't know if Ingrid's powers could be trusted and she couldn't risk her sister's powers making another accident. Ingrid was too dangerous, she couldn't quite control her powers fully and had already accidentally killed somebody twice already. It would be too risky to not trap Ingrid, it could put someone else in danger of being hurt or dying. It showed that even with Ingrid's gloves, she couldn't always be trusted to have complete control over her powers. And fear would make Ingrid's powers even more dangerous. Gerda was scared and didn't know what else to do.

Me neither. When Rumple told Anna that her parents had been trying to get Rid of Elsa's powers, Anna had not wanted to admit or believe it and neither did I. And even though I understand the reaction here, it's still wrong. Her objective with Elsa was to prevent this from happening again, but in the end, her actions only CAUSED Elsa's issues, not helping. While the Snow Queen is evil, she became evil because she was betrayed, not because she had powers. That's the real tragedy.
