I couldn't help but watch this as it brought back so many memories of my time growing up in Keyworth, from memory you could also get on a number 12 which was the Nottingham Leicester service. There were double deckers for many years with a ticket collector on board and we used to try and run up the stairs and hide to avoid paying; it never worked because there was a mirror!

They had a depot in corby and my dad drove for them back in the 70s ,every school holidays get the 377 service corby to Glasgow, used to take forever ,around 10 hours, good memories, the buses would change drivers half way with the Glasgow bus coming opposite direction

Been away from Keyworth and UK 18 years now so that old number 6 Barton bus brought back memories. Thanks for sharing midduck.. The Square hasn’t changed much. I used to cycle there to do my paper round as a school kid back in the 80s at Forbuoys (now Martins) and the Chemists was next to NatWest bank there at the end, which has also disappeared by the looks of your video.

Thank you for your comment Christopher Russell Goodall. You are correct in observing that the Nat West Bank has closed. I wonder if you used to deliver our papers on Rannock Gardens. We still have them delivered from Martins that was Forbuoys. Best wishes Michael Parkinson
