Government systems are designed to move very slowly. and in this case, a Government takes three years to reach deadlock, until everyone is so sick and tired of it, that out of sheer misery and signal biases they make a decision. and now everyone thinks this will somehow be coherently carried out in one year. at the same time as still not knowing if there will be a deal or no deal.

t seems to me that the entire reason Brexit was sought was over immigration, period. Fair enough. Through exiting there must be a multitude of benefits that being a member offered, but of course no one is saying. And for the elephant in the room -The NHS!! For Britain to do a deal Trump would it be willing to dump the NHS is 'favor' of a similar one currently offered by the US just to secure a 'trade deal'? I fear treachery may rule the day!!

You people were in a cosy position of having very strong legislature being implemented aptly to prevent privatization while still obtaining pretty much the best stuff out of pharmaceutical companies. No more. It'll be a turkey shoot the moment Donald Trump signs the trade deal... all I'm gonna say is I'm extremely excited. It'll be a golden age for pharmaceutical companies. The UK is being abolished and we are to be ruled by the EU, which is what the treaty says. In the withdrawal agreement part there is a clause that says "anybody in the UK who takes part in anti-EU activity can be arrested". Look it up if you dont believe me. Nobody mentions this, or the bit that says the handing over of our military and intelligent services to the EU, leaving parliament without an armed forces, carries on AFTER the extension period has finished . So, a country without its own armed forces occupied by a foreign country! Yes chimpanzees, you are all being lied to once agaiin by the government, we arent leaving as all the MPs know only too well. We are going to be ruled by EU (article 18 in withdrawal agreement binds us to what is cited in the protocol which is full alignment to EU laws and regulations and funding of EU institutions) and after a few years, as mentioned in Treaty, we become whats called an associate member or what most people would call a province.. Then no doubt a few years later a full member which is of course another name for having been absorbed into the EU and back to square one. Its not brexit suckers.

@Yo Yo it was never about not believing in Great Britain, but more about the fact that the world has changed and Britannia does not rule the waves anymore. The UK always has been free and independent! Remember Johnson raged against our independent judiciary system! For me and my workers it is the day that marks the day my company after 20 years will have to move from the UK. Some friends and workers will stay in the UK, some will move with me. Those that come will be leaving their families and friends, as will I be. I have loved being an English company. I have not begrudge a single pound paid in taxes because I understand it goes towards the betterment of my country. I hope against reason that the damage that has already happened, and the damage that will happen in the coming years will have been worth it to all the people that wanted to leave, even though After many, many conversations I still cannot understand what a leaver hopes to gain, especially when weighed up against what we have to lose. I respect the fact that it makes you happy that we are leaving, I just hope you can take the time to reflect on the fact that for me and my workers it is not a joyous occasion.

How sad to witness the absolute absence of the realization the UK is now destined to get the solitary aloneness it has so foolishly embraced. It hasn't had to exist solely on its own limited resources for a long time. It has no comfortable fall back any longer. No one has its back in a world of global back stabbers. Labor is plentiful in the EU. Plentiful, young, energetic, educated and willing to work hard for low wages. That is an incredible draw for foreign investors. Legitimate investors are far more willing to park their money in the home countries of their workers. Why give it to a UK that is just beginning its struggles with a damaged trade system? How can the loss of the UK's primary money-making position as the refined, stable, snag-free door into the EU make Britons happy? It defies logic. For all the glowy promises of what a rupture from the EU can bring, what specifics have ever emerged? That has been one of the more puzzling aspects of this vote. Common sense analysis based on a fully informed electorate - a reasoned analysis of the costs, risks, economic outcomes - just evaporates in the face of voting based on beliefs in the stunning super-abilities of Brits. An unbelievable victory of spin over intelligent analysis. There are only a few things the UK can offer to the US market and most of them are ripe for cloning and theft - by US businesses and by EU businesses and by other interests. Once the bye-byes are waved, life goes on for both sides, but the future is on the side of the EU. That is where investments have the best soil, not the UK. So, ok, the UK has the grandest command over a working monarchy. That is great for tourism. So, ok again, for the superiority of UK acting chops, certain types of literature, performing arts. But those are easily exportable and mimicked. No one even has to travel to the UK for access to these talents. Tourism is a great money maker, if the prices are right and one's genealogy calls for a trip back to the mother country. But there again, the money exchange must favor the tourist, the genealogy must call louder than the lust for exotica, and let's face it, travel appeals to the young but the real disposable travel money is still in the hands of the middle aged and older. Frankly I see Brexit like I see Britbox in America: a financial and technical disaster. UK folks will have to do a lot better, faster, more often, and for less money. And now Brexiters have the opportunity they asked for - in fact demanded. Make them remember that.

Brexit is about avoiding ATAD - i.e. sheltering those offshore billions from a bit of visibility and some more appropriate levels of taxation - and the UK's press barons all have extensive offshore interests.

M. DeV. Sure, slapping the EU, by discriminating the incoming into UK workforce from EU - is a model of no hate and peace. I am glad the Londoners will finally have their desired Brexit. But I am also excited to see beautiful Edinburg independent. Undoubtedly, the Scots have a strong personally as a region on the island and they have indeed a rich culture. And I would strongly anticipate a stronger Edinburg and why not mightier than London (in some decades of independence). The numbers say it clear, an EU-member independent Scotland and along with undervalued by the Londoners North Ireland (reunited with Dublin) would win much via the Transatlantic route of goods from U.S. to the Western Europe. I respect the will of Wales and London, let them be out. Northern Ireland and Scotland have one more time proved they have a more peaceful and respectful attitude toward Europe. Have a good evening, Sir!
@alicie6495 жыл бұрын
@M. DeV. I don't see britain as so democratic. Half the representatives aren't elected, yet you accuse the EU of being undemocratic. No other country except monarchies, emirates, or dictators could claim that. You have a whole separate class of royalty and aristocrats, that hardly any other country has (I can't think of any, even India has officially forbidden casts). I mean what on earth is a 'duke, lord, duchess, baroness, earl,.." today ? It's just artificial snobbery and elitism. Pretending to play princes and princesses. Why is the queen reading out a paper written by the gvt, to announce the new parliaments program ? It's just play-acting. Why do Brits love this sort of archaic drama ? Maybe not all Brits do. And how come religion has such a place in UK ? Look at bishops in the 'senate', Church rituals for every major event, religion taught in ALL schools ! Why not teach critical thinking instead of brainwashing kids with religious fairy stories ? Maybe people wouldn't gobble all the tabloid rubbish so easily. Maybe there wouldn't be any tabloids.
