What does he mean when he says "a little too much top hand" when they fly out? Can anybody explain?

The ball is either top spinning or knuckling down because the top hand gets over or around the ball.

You want back spin to get the ball to shift gears and cut through the air to elevate itself deep. If you use too much top hand, you get topspin or a knuckle ball that moves downward, making the ball more likely to drop to the fielder as opposed to carrying over the fence

@@imheartotellthetruth7165 doesnt matter what he did. They were good enough to get there and thats all that matters. Most baseball players period have a inside out swing. A swing thats good when a ball is coming in at 90+mph. In softball it comes in at like 25mph. I guarantee u its hard for them to generate alot of power consistently if they just tossed the ball to themselves. Theres a certain way u have to swing in softball to be consistent. Alot of them without any prior slow pitch experience will find themselves popping up. If they trained they could definitely be the best of the best but its not going them coming over and destroying these pro slow pitch guys. Alot of mlb players have been interviewed about slowpitch softball or made videos and have said its definitely a different/difficult game.
