Matt grey AMGs that backfire are for Chavs/Rudeboys... Way too Chintzy, way too hard on the road.... like most AMGs these days - targeted entirely at a vulgar clientele. No real suprise things like the RS6s sell so well.... for people who dont want to look like "Jafooli" and get piles on the way to work... Add an exhaust and tune and its ultimate car... same for the M2CS ... thatll go down as an all time great in the near term.

@@ardak3755 it's not a general rule, but you can see it quite often. In 2018 I bought an SL63 for £37K; the sticker price in 2013 was £142K. At the moment the used car market is a bit crazy though, so you have to put much more effort into finding a good deal.

Hey, have you driven this car? No one has, but fingers crossed, like Raz said, the boys at Alffaterbach know what they’re doing. You can’t have prejudices, mate. “4-cylinders is never gonna beat a V8.” These modern engines are so good and the companies are so clever, I won’t be surprised if they get the new C63 to 80% of what it was. It’s only the AMG fans and hard-core car lovers who immediately s**** on the idea, not give it a chance and say AMG has lost it. You guys just hate change.

I own a CLA 35 AMG Shooting Brake since 1 1/2 years and even though its not the CLA 45 AMG I really love it! It's fast, it's practical, it's fun and it looks awesome! I was even able to fit a medium sized dog box inside the trunk, for which I had to slightly modify the opening due to the loading lid. The 35 doesn't look as mean and as aggressive as the 45 but its a great compromise and I love it! Great review as always by the way! I still don't understand why you don't have 1 Mio subs already! @@christianwold its actually not so bad! I've to admit that the road conditions in Switzerland are perfect and even the speedbumps are more or less sportscar friendly. The story gets different while on vacation in italy or spain and the potholes can sometimes be tricky. Anyway I've never had to many issues even there.

I love that thing and almost ordered one this month. Baby #2 on the way meant the wife wanted more space so ended up settling on a brand new GLC43 Coupe Prem+ instead, which is absolutely stunning. Dont confuse the drift mode with full rear wheel drive. Its essentially torque vectoring with extra steps, but its not possible to send 100% of the engine power to the back. All that drift mode does is to "over-spin" the outer rear wheel so it loses grip and it starts sliding.

I got the exact same car here in Germany as my daily driver and it sounds exactly the same, including the pops and bangs. But it wasn't sounding as good in the beginning. Started to sound better after 1500km. Maybe it's imagination, but after you mentioned to me that this car here has some mileage already, I think it's possible that this might be the case. Anyway, great car, I'm still sad that I can't take it a second year, since I need a car that's capable of going to the North Cape in winter.

I've owned this car for six months after more than two decades of driving AMG V8's and when I ordered it I was quite worried that I would miss the bigger engine. My Eco conscience had kicked in and I decided that such a thirsty engine couldn't be justified any more. I needn't have worried about the downsizing as this car in Shooting Brake form is the best vehicle I've ever owned!

I own a Cla 250 shootingbrake and have problems with quality.. front windows make weird noises, the advanced soundsystem already makes the doors make shaky noises and the subwoofer aswell. Mercedes had to fix it 3 times already.

Bought this car. Everything in the review is spot-on but there are a couple of issues Raz doesn’t mention. BIGGEST GRIPE - Emotion Start only works when the engine is warm, which is extremely frustrating and defeats the object. Second complaint is that there is a lot of creaky cabin noise, more than I have ever experienced in a Mercedes before. A couple of totally unnecessary design faults also. Seat belt buckles that hang next to plastic and bang for England when not in use. The usbc socket you use for car play is in a totally ridiculous place making it difficult to close the compartment in which it sits and the wireless charging plate area is too small for an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Other than that happy!

A really cool car that we'll never get in the US as everyone thinks people only like SUVs here. MB only impairs the E wagon, BMW ceased all wagons. If you want a wagon, it is mostly Volvo in that market.

Now I realise that I am in a tiny minority by say that I find the standard car to be an awkwardly shaped and impractical estate..it’s appeal seemed to be a long weekend away for two with surfboards, diving equipment, climbing aids..a young life full, of success and activity...and that may be fully intentional. I think you’re marvelous and underrated, but, please, the term “shooting brake” implies a design that combines elements of an estate and a coupe, which is, of course, a two-door. The FF, GTC4 Lusso, and Zagato are perfect examples. Not sure why it’s a pet-peeve of mine but calling this car the same just doesn’t seem right. Cheers.

There is no universally agreed definition of a shooting brake. Its essentially an estate with a sloping roof. The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is also described as a shooting brake, and has 4 doors.

Great car, good that it's possible to buy a great handling power estate that doesn't weigh close to or north of 2 tonnes. That said, my modified cupra ST is 250kg lighter again so should be more agile and roomier too. But not standard and no longer for sale (last of the manuals). If I didn't have it this one is definitely highest on the list...

Great presentation and delivery, however I have to say that the ‘whooshing’ noise on car changing animations is far too loud and intrusive, maybe toning down the volume or introducing a more subtle sound effect would distract less from your presentation.

I agree with you Raz, the sound track of the new cars are pathetic! In almost all models be it Audi, Mercedes or Porche. The soft limiter technology is boring! I so miss the sound of old C63 black series, the S65 V12 and the 2010 E63. The sound may make AMGs lose lot of customers or they need to get into studio and create good recorded sound similar to BMW i8, they got the fake sound very good.

Yeah, after hearing the new GT Black Series inside, AMG needs to sort out the speaker sound. But I think they’re not focusing on the speaker sound, because they want to push the engine and exhaust note as far as possible, in terms of authenticity. Only once they achieved the best they can with the implemented regulations, will they focus on speaker sound.

Exactly my point. I mean AMGs are all about rumbles, bangs and pops. I still maintain that if they fail to sort out the sound issues, people will go for other rivals producing good sound tracks. There is no way they will manage genuine rumble with 4 cylinders, it's impossible, so sound recording of a V12 will be a new normal to invest in to keep up with the original vibe which is more important to AMG owners and actually thier pride and joy!

I don't think they are going to sell this in the USA we don't even get the S version. My wife has a C43 Amg and wants this car now after watching your video with me. Mercedes should be giving a discount to you for bringing in the customers. Get reviews as always I really don't understand why this channel doesn't have 3 or 4 million subscribers.
