This is good perspective. I was young when this came out and didn't realize the timing aspect of this song and band. This song is undeniably catchy and that singer is wildly talented. I always wondered why they never amounted to much.

@@Nerd_of_Anarchy Yeah, not properly - apparently, they did do 5 shows in the US, during September/October 1991 and a few in Canada, too, around that time (and 3 in 1993), but nothing over there since. It's quite well documented in the British rock press, that Thunder were all set to tour the US in 1992, but then 'grunge' happened, and the tour was immediately cancelled - they obviously never really had another chance. If anything, the band are only known in the US (if at all), for DIRTY LOVE, which featured a certain Pamela Anderson in the promo video.

I would recommend their song Just Take My Heart. They also did a lovely cover of Cat Stevens Wild World. I know, it is hard to not clap along with the song. They were bigger in Japan than the states. A lot of people likely remember the song, but not the band as they just did not get much radio play. The only caveat to this seems to be the bassist, Billy Sheehan. Maybe because he was in David Lee Roth's band prior to this, so was better known? He is still a well respected bassist.

I really hope you don't ever apologize for expanding your mind and taste to older music. For example, this song is pure collaborative talent, that's it. A rarity in todays music in my opinion. A couple of instruments, and a huge raw voice with great back up harmonies. For me, it puts a smile on my face and yes that may be corny, but it's memories, they can last a lifetime! Just enjoy :)
