Fricking love this! I could listen to the solo'd reverse convolution reverb on its own for ages!

I like to put rhythmical foley samples into a convolver with some delay (like 1/16) and maybe some rhythmical gating. Furthermore removing the sub frequencies of IRs is often a good idea, especially when you don't have a limiter on your master bus. Great tutorial by the way. I have never thought of reversing my IRs, thanks.

Good shit. Gives me a lot of ideas. Like you could take a sound that is modulated in some way, like pitch, volume og panning, over a longer period of time. Could potentially get some really interesting results. Or what if you use a melodic sound clip as your IR? Definitely gonna play with this.

Be careful using melodic clips! It can easily become a screeching metallic mess. (You definitely want to low-pass them first) If your melodic clip isn’t in tune/in the same key it can also sound really odd. But with Ableton’s extensive sample manipulation capabilities you should be fine.

What's up with him having his default EQ eight being in mid side by default? Does he do that cuz he uses it most often or does he literally mid side everything.

Hey Bill! Do you only write and focus on one track at a time till it's done or do you work on multiple tracks and just go back and forth to whichever one you feel more inspired to work on?
