Thanks for the comments! Yes- It needed something at the end, and that seemed to fit. I used to play a good bit of the Toccata in Dm back around high school, which was great fun.

@@TaurusTarkus Of course! Yeah, Bach was the king and what you did at the end was a nice touch to Don's already very Bach-like intro. So good!

@@SteveOuimette Many thanks! I've been enjoying several of your videos over the last couple days. You are an incredible guitarist! I especially enjoyed Owner of a Lonely Heart. I was just getting into Yes when that tour was kicking off and was very lucky to have been able to help tear down their stage in Lititz, PA (my home town) the night before the big 90125 tour kicked off in Millersville. I've seen Trevor Rabin with them five times and never understood how he was able to get such sounds out of a Strat. Most of my videos are about keyboards, but I play some guitar in a few including Kashmir: kzbin.info/www/bejne/laC0qKVoZbyJmpo

@@TaurusTarkus Thank you for the kind words, I LOVE this song and solo! Trevor is a brilliant player and clearly knew what he was doing. Totally redefined Yes's sound back then. How cool that you were able to be a part of that during the beginning of that particular tour. History! I'll check out your page, thanks!

Thanks! That's a great idea! It's almost too short for a cover video... although Mr. Crowley is pretty short too, which is why I added to it a bit. I certainly would enjoy playing that and seeing what I could do with it.
@jvidalw3 ай бұрын
@@TaurusTarkus yes, it's a bit too short, but it has the same mystery vibe as Mr. Crowley

It could be longer if you do the whole bells-chant part as well
@TaurusTarkus3 ай бұрын
@@jvidalw It does indeed.
@TaurusTarkus3 ай бұрын
@@jvidalw I would definitely want to do something with that part. I look for music that I can do 'ideally' better or at least different/interesting and close to the quality of the original... I could possibly do a better pipe organ and bass, but I couldn't get a bell that would sound that good! I may be able to get a creepy choir that wouldn't be as good, but still sufficiently sinister. We'll see; I had a switch at work, which isn't giving me much time for music.

A fantastic interpretation of a heavy metal classic. I'm not sure how you prompted the voices at 1:06? Maybe at 1:03? Anyway very cool from start to finish
@TaurusTarkus6 ай бұрын
Thanks! (I thought your first/deleted comment was very funny.) The button that I touch turns the portamento/glide on and off. I frequently use volume pedals to control parts; you can see a good example of using two volume pedals for different parts in my cover of Inferno, where I show them at one point. But in this video I have the lower keyboard/Montage controlling the Prophet via MIDI. So I start with just the Hydrasynth bass and the Prophet Rev2 organ, and then I play the part on the Montage which gives you the Rev2 organ plus some Montage sampled organ and choir. This is also why I can activate the glide on either keyboard. Lots of fun!
