Dear Shrinkhal, ever thought of doing a follow-up YT video on all the mistakes and errors made in the Mr Cruel investigations by police? No youtuber has done this yet, but the mistakes are almost legendary: 1/ Failure by police to secure the 13 April 1991 crime site. They set up their command inside the victim’s home, thereby contaminating the crime scene. The taskforce set up later to investigate the crime complained to the media about this. 2/ Police announced to the media on 14 April that all 3 abductions took place during school holidays, which was not true (3 July 1990 kidnapping was during a normal school week). 3/ Worse police told U.S. profilers that all 4 linked crimes took place during school holidays, when only 2 did (22 Aug 1987 was in the middle of school term 3). 4/ U.S. profilers wrote that because all incidents happened during school holidays that there was a high probability the offender worked in a school. Not so, NONE of the crime dates suggest a school (i.e. two were weekends, and one was the Christmas-New Year break). All this was only recently reported by a Melbourne newspaper on 17 April 2022. Police never admitted their error publicly. 5/ Police released in April 1991 a photo of the missing kidnap victim when she was only 8, and not 13 as she was at that time. The out of date photo looked nothing like the kidnap victim. 6/ Police released a wanted poster with the out of date photo of the victim to all homes in the State of Victoria and parts of New South Wales and South Australia in May 1991. 7/ Police never issued a complete description of the 13 April 1991 victim. No height, or weight, only that she was of Asian appearance. Citizens were asked to look for a kidnap victim but were not told what she looked like. A world first? 8/ Police searched 30,000 homes near Melbourne airport, near where planes banked and turned. But failed to do a blanket search of homes in the Eltham - Lower Plenty - Templestowe area where 3 crimes sites / potential crime sites were. Planes also bank in this area and often flew in low, making this appear much closer to the airport. This oversight was reported in a Melbourne newspaper as late as 1 May 2022. 9/ The official criminal profile concentrated heavily on school employees, yet the overwhelming circumstantial evidence suggested someone employed or interested in electricity. The “electricity theory” is now the dominant theory in the public domain. Police have not commented on this publicly or ever released a new and corrected criminal profile. 10/ Police and or the media keep releasing unlikely prime or major suspects. One of these was 6ft 4ins, when the official height of the offender was average height 5ft 7ins to 5ft 10 ins. 11/ Police “lost” crucial evidence that may of had the offender’s DNA on it. 12/ A police review of these cold cases in 2000 was undertaken in the mistaken belief that all the linked crimes took place during school holidays. The list goes on and on. This is not the fault of the Spectrum taskforce (1991-94) who did their best with the dud hand they were dealt. There’s surely a great YT video in all this and one that would invariably be quoted by other youtubers.

The biggest deceiving thing what i think is that about the sound of flight sounds. It could be set up so that the police would wander around airport areas. But again. That was in 19's which i think there wasn't much technology to actually set up the flight sounds. And another theory is that he might be a forensic doctor who works from police side. Like, those special doctors who would work on police cases. Just like those doctors who examined the victims that were kidnapped by Mr. Cruel. And if the doctor was any friend of police or if a police was involved too along with him, then knowing about the case research time and all shouldn't be much of problems. And about sailor thing. Might be a sailor in some Village back then. The police should have inspected the forensic doctors with sailor history.

The problem with the prerecorded flight sounds is the sound system would need to be located in the roof and be of sufficient quality and volume to replicate not only the aircraft noise but the direction and banking of these aircraft and probably the vibrations. Then the number of craft would have to be synchronised to the time period (the victim calculated this against the news times on the radio). To make all this realistic, would also run the risk of neighbours complaining about the noise. For someone as careful as the offender, why would he take such a risk?
