Revisionism is a place only the bravest of people dare to get into, and when you do, your life and reputation will be ruined. Because in delousing rooms, where zyklon-B was used for delousing, the permeated the mortar all the way through. Zyklon-B was an insecticide, but it can kill humans as well in sufficient quantities. It's a poor way to kill mammals. A much cheaper way to do it would be with CO2 or just Nitrogen. All you need to do is displace O2. Use any gas, ANY gas that doesn't contain O2 in it, and it will kill. With something like Nitrogen, hydrogen, helium, anything besides CO2, the mammal wouldn't even realize it was dying, because they only detect high concentrations of CO2, not a lack of oxygen. CO2 would cause a panic, because it causes labored breathing, you can certainly feel it. If I put you in a room that was filled with Nitrogen, at best, you'd notice a different odor, and within 2 minutes you'd be on the ground, and in 10 minutes, you'd be dead. You can produce nitrogen through just compressing the atmosphere until it becomes a liquid. Nitrogen will become a liquid, the O2 won't.
