@ I mean, there’s already plenty of abilities to troll your teammates, Jeff's ult, Strange's portal, Groot's walls, plus I doubt that in diamond and higher people will troll their teammates and possibly cost their team the game

That team up is gonna go crazy on a vanguard like the thing once he drops. That extra bit of survivability on a high hp character that’s supposed to sponge damage is gonna be nice.

especially for human torch, who is most likely gonna be flying around like ironman. As for the Thing, it's a nice lil bonus to make him tankier.
