His ult is a bit questionable, both Hulk and Wolverine have complicated mechanics but really good ults. I think a better comparison is Squirre Girl (before ult buff) or Jeff, good characters and in the case of Jeff the highest healing per second in the game but terrible ults for both. I wonder how much better Squirre Girl win rate is going to be with the new buffs.

I think you got his playstyle down pretty well, he is an anti-dive bruiser, he gets ult charge super fast by just cleaving the frontline and shielding allies. The only problem is that his ult's damage is too low atm for how unreliable it is, the moment they buff his ult damage this guy is going to be super strong.

@Skilow I'm not gonna disagree with that, but I'll say it's a unique ult. It's kind of like Bucky, but with less damage and can go from 3-6 hits with each hit increases the damage of the ult. Using the ult alone would get you killed unless you get heals and the Ult is good only if you're buffed up using Mr. Fantastic Backshot move. Otherwise, you'll pretty much be a glass cannon.

I love how versatile Mr Fantastic can be with his kit because he seems to embody the best of all 3 roles: 1) can be an incredibly deadly dps with his stretch punches, long grab-and-whip/smash together move or his Gear 4 mode. 2) He can be an opportunistic healer by giving backshots-, I mean, *using his bonus health move on teammates* if they need a boost in health. 3) his never-ending combos of more bonus health, damage scales with higher elasticity until he inflates & his incredibly dizzying ult can make him feel like a tank at times. All in all, based hero with a great kit & in the right hands, can be the best of all 3 roles when you least expect it.

not really, i experimented with this and it seams the arm lags a bit behind your cursor if you move too fast, and those hits don't count. you hear the hit sound but the hit does not register. you have to keep the arm close to the cursor when it passes the target for the hit to register

He’s actually a healer bully. Use the tanks to load your bar then use mobility ability to jump to their back line and slap them. I think this character is super solid A tier character. Nothing is overpowered but his kit just works and feels oppressive. I had a game going 40 k damage to the next highest being 30k so its not like he doesnt pack a punch. My damage blocked was close to 30k in same game. He in my opinion is the best options dps wise for backline divers. You give shields to healers and disrupt their movement. You dont get killed because Mr fantastic wins almost every 1v1 due to shield mechanics. His ult is a great way to disrupt the enemies forceing them to move around or look up giving the team the opportunity to pick enemies one by one.

Hey cap, you sort of inspired me to get GM in season 0 using Thor. I feel like in season 1 Thor isn't as good, I'm a tank main but I'm often tanking alone and it feels as though I can't kill as much as I could in the previous season so I just lock out of Thor and into Strange. I don't know if it's because the supports have learned to deal with Thor and avoid getting dived as well or if it's just that Thor doesn't have strong enough burst/accuracy to apply his damage to the 250hp characters.

Thor main here, also hit GM last season. Biggest problem i have seen so far is the 3 Strategists meta, Thor can't apply as much pressure to the backline as he used to in S0. They can outheal all of your damage, on top of having CC so you can't run. Invisible Woman can just boop you away if you use Shift to engage in. His ult now has CC immune but it still does 0 damage and most of the time it's just trading for support ults, but most of my recent games they just run Cloak and just make their team invulnerable. On the bright side, Storm is very good this season so Thor still has a place, most of my Storm teammates were dominating the whole game and enabling them feels kinda good.

The problem is his ult. Mr Fantastic is the only character where you're better off just not even using his ult at all in 95% of situations(exception being full enemy team is inside a small room with 10ft ceiling). By activating his ult, you just lower your own dps by like 50%(regular left + right click does more dps), lower your survivability by like 50%, and make yourself way more predictable for new next few seconds. As someone who plays primarily support, when I see an enemy Mr. Fantastic use his ult, I see it as a relief; I know my team is gonna be a bit easier to heal for the next few seconds since one of their dps just neutered their own damage; I use that time to focus more on damage. It shouldn't be that way. Basically every other ult, I'm afraid of. For other characters, I know I either need to focus way more on healing in the next few seconds, or pop my own ult. I think the rest of his kit apart from his ult is pretty good, and does it's job as a dps/tank hybrid.

7:00 Fantastic ult should absolutely not go through shields. Its damage may be low but removing counterplay is pretty lame. Perhaps just have it deal more damage to shields so there’s a higher trade off for the enemy?

at the VERY least, you should be able to keep bouncing if you hit shield like that

Yeah a garbage ult which does 70 damage a hit should get canceled when anyone holds a shield up but SG ult which two shots can go through shields. The counterplay is to shoot him, he has a massive hitbox and he’s so easy to kill in it, or just pop basic healer cooldowns and no one will die.
