Fun fact: while Mr. Freeze’s initial launch is 70 miles per hour, it’s top speed is actually 80 miles per hour and you hit that speed after coming down from the vertical spike during the return run.

this is to this day my favorite ride! I rode it when it launched forward, and honestly I’m glad they changed it to backwards!!

Excellent review! I've been on Mr. Freeze over several visits since it first opened, and it definitely is a much better ride now. The lap bars are a nice improvment over the shoulder restraints, which made the seats feel even more claustrophobic and subjected you to headbanging. Also, although I preferred going through the launch portion facing forward (which felt like a more forceful version of the Premier spaghetti bowls), you're spot on in your review about the vertical spike. It is so much better now that you're facing the ground and get to see just how high up you are. Regardless of the various changes, it's always been a great coaster and one of my favorites since 1998.

SFOT is my home park and hands down this is my fav coaster rheir besides NTG. I just hope it still has a few seasons left. It breaks down a lot, I mean a lot

Poison ivy was so hot. Cartoon and in reality. Playing joker can be a crazy moment in a situation because he has been defeated multiple times. Batman can beat joker in a snap

I’ve done both of them, and as far as I’m concerned, they both ride very similar with the exception of the launch. The launch on the one at Over Texas is way more intense than the one at St. Louis for whatever reason.

They’re from a company called Coaster Dynamix. Pretty much every Six Flags, Cedar Fair and SeaWorld park sells them in person, and many of them are sold online. I picked up most of mine from their respective parks.

Mr Freeze #79 & #80 out of the 395 coasters I've been on as I have been on both of them. No real difference between the ones at SFSL and SFOT. I do prefer XCelerator and Top Thrill Dragster to it. Despite being shorter experiences, I find those just to be better overall experiences and better launches.
