Mr. Guitar My Friend - Thom Bresh

There was a video of Thom playing this song on KZbin and I loved the song instantly. I tried learning it but had trouble with some of the chords. Me and my grandpa Eddie sent him a message and it wasn’t too long and he replied. He took the time to make a video just to help teach me the song he wrote. Thom was one of the greats and he will be missed by many. Here is me playing this song he taught me called Mr. Guitar My Friend. I hope y’all enjoy!

Wow consider yourself in the elite club that Chet Atkins reserved for those who could play like this. Structurally the chords are all basic but it’s the independent thumb thing that makes this style so difficult to play. I’m guessing it’s one of those things that if it finally clicks it’s entirely doable
