I was taught years ago to just set the pressure on the pump so that the flame doesn't blow past the plate on the front of the heater. If it does, it's running too rich. I always adjusted the flame so it spits out a little around the plate, then back it off a little on the adjustment screw and it burns clean with no smoke or odor. And I never use Kerosene, just diesel fuel.

Mine is 3 years old. It wouldn't fire this season. The fan would start up, but fuel would just shoot out of the nose cone. I found someone on a forum stating that they had the same issue, and a new fuel nozzle fixed it for them. I ordered the nozzle last weekend. I worked on it today. I blew out the air filter, replaced the Diesel #2 I had left in the tank from last winter, and replaced the nozzle. Also, when putting the vacuum and fuel lines back on, I quickly noticed they were cracked, big time. I went to NAPA and bought new hoses. It is crazy unacceptable that these lines would be this degraded after 3 years. Yes, it is now back up and running, and I cannot say what the actual issue was, as it could have been anything; fuel, hoses, nozzle, and maybe the air filter (it wasn't that dirty at all). The moral of the story is that Mr. Heater is using horrible quality hoses. Nowhere near acceptable.

I just purchased a mh210ktr and have used it daily for a week or so, now when it turns off due to the thermostat setting it will not restart when the temp drops. It will try to start but does not. Light flashes twice indicating no flame. Fuel then drips out the front. The next morning it starts fine. The ignitor is working. Any ideas?
@MrHeaterTV
@MrHeaterTV 2 жыл бұрын
It sounds like your pressure might be a little low. Various environmental things can influence that, such as humidity and air pressure. Increasing the pressure at the back of the heater a little bit should get that starting normally all the time.

Can you please tell me why the thermostat on my new MHC140KT -- when it's turned all the way up -- reads "CH"? There's nothing wrong with the heater, it's just REALLY bothering me that I don't know what "CH" means. Why does the thermostat go from _"96"_ to _"97"_ to _"98"_ to _"99"_ to _"CH"_ ???
@MrHeaterTV

Hi Dave, the CH stands for Continuous Heat. The heater will burn as long as it is set to that setting.

My torpedo heater runs when top is off but turns off with top on, why?
@MrHeaterTV
@MrHeaterTV 6 жыл бұрын
The reason for this is most likely an air loss in the heater itself. Check the rubber hoses and lines to see if there are any cracks. The air loss from the lines will cause the heater to run with the top off and shut off with the top on. If you have any other questions, please give us a call at 1-855-663-0660.

Thanks, I was just curious because that's what I've been running in mine. I bought it new last winter and it works okay when it works. It stalls a lot despite my adjusting pump pressure, keeping the filter clean, fuel filter etc... It puts out a lot of heat when it runs.
@MrHeaterTV
@MrHeaterTV 6 жыл бұрын
We can help with that. It could be a simple fix, like a crack in one of the fuel air lines. A small hole or crack in a line could cause the air and fuel pressure to be unstable. If you continue to have these stalls, please call us at 1-855-663-0660. We can get your heater running properly.

The design of the power cord wrap spindles was very poorly done on the MH75KTR model! In order to remove the inspection cover those two cord wraps need to be removed otherwise there are two screws on the inspection cover that cannot be accessed! When you remove the two cord wrap spindles or holders....the nuts on the inside of the inspection fall down inside the heater which was a stupid foolish way to design this! Those two cord wrap spindles should have had nuts permanantly welded inside the cover ....

Mr. Heater That doesn't really help me now after i spent $350.00 on one! It worked great for one year and now it works for 15-30 minutes MAX then shuts down for no reason. I changed and installed all new filters,emptied,flushed the fuel tank and put new fuel (NO 1 Diesel) and it is never used in a dirty environment but i cleaned everything just the same. The pump pressure is correct.... so i suppose that there are 10 other things i would have to change for various reasons now and spend another couple hundred dollars on before i figure out why it won't work properly.... not impressed with this product at all.

Why don't you show us how easy it is to empty the fuel from a MH75KT that is almost full and heavy as sin?? It was dumb not to put a drain plug on the bottom of the MH75KT because there is now easy way to drain the fuel from it and it should have a pressure gauge also because there is no way to know what the pressure is on this model. Your video shows only the more expensive model with wheels but does not mention or show "how easy" it is with the MH75KT
