I really enjoyed this footage of our performance of Dazed And Confused in the style of 1973-era Zeppelin. This footage was shot by our good friend, Sherry Anderson.

Professor Time If you're gonna do a full Zep tribute, this is it. Not silly, not comical. These musicians are first excellent musicians outright , and they apply it brilliantly. Also, they're playing licks which are not absolutely note for note, but again, this is REALLY ARTISTIC. NO ear fatigue, this does sometimes happen with less capable tributes.

It's weird, I have followed Zepp from 1969 when I was 9 and seen them live over the years as Zepp and solo acts, but they have the live Zeppelin down so well that it's like watching it again for the first time because it's a new current twist on an old idea that keeps it fresh and reborn, it has a life of it's own now. I love that they only play live versions of the material and extended solos and they are spot on from the bootlegs on any era of Zepp. So now I find myself at times watching the newer live versions over the original Zepp versions because I have seen and heard them so many times, and then I go back and it's cool to be able to switch back and forth. I hope that makes sense. Well done and add keep adding your own ideas to the mix to keep it fresh.

Makes perfect sense, and we are alike in this. Same thing I'm doing now. Been playing guitar for 38 years, and most of those I was elected to lead vocal by default. So I have to give the singer compliments too. Most people never realize how difficult it can be to nail vocals repeatedly over and over and over and.... It AIN'T easy! The band is real good. Guitar player hits the notes 95% of the time he's good. The singer imo needs more practice he's just not putting his all into it. Not enough soul and at times like he doesn't know the words from watching other performances. Overall though they sound good. I grew up in the late sixties and the seventies it was my decade of raising hell. Zeppelin was king back then along with Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Little Feat, Pink Floyd, Sabbath and many other great bands . It was the best decade ever imo. So many good memories yet so many things I can't remember! We lost a lot of great musicians sadly and hearing bands play their music with soul pays tribute to the original members. I miss the seventies and all the great times, shows... Hearing this brings back a lot of memories.... Great tunes...

@georgiethumbs24387 жыл бұрын
Ha ha wow you are 2 years older than me, I can imagine how much Page was blown away. I use to drive a Taxi in NYC - for 25 years - and picked up Jimmy once and got his autograph, really nice guy. That was back before they had cellphones, around 1987 so I never got a photo with him, but I was telling him how I use to watch the Song remains the same at the midnight shows at Wantagh theater - Rocky horror which I hated and Song remains the same, and he said that's exactly why they made that movie, so the kids who couldn't afford concert tickets or missed a show could see Led Zep live. Back then it wasn't like it is now where you just push a button and you can see Led Zep live on KZbin on your cellphone. All you had was the records and magazine photos, but then you would see that movie and WOW it would blow your mind, the photos would come to life. Led Zep being driven from JFK airport - incredibly with police escort up the Van Wyck expressway to Madison sq, garden - and then darkness and they would explode on stage with Rock and Roll. WOW! That will never happen again, that intensity. Can you imagine what it must have been like to see that live? I hope Led Zepagain play around where i live now, I would kill to see them, these guys are unbelievable.

This is so awesome. Closed my eyes and listened to this, and forgot that I was listening to a Zep cover band. This really gave me the chills. The only let down was that for about 4 mins, Jimmy's low E was flat and outta tune, which rly sucked. Nevertheless, it was awesome.

What year was this performance? I finally saw this band and they have a new guitarist. How long has this tribute band been performing?

This was from early 2016. Jimmy ended up leaving the group in early 2017 and Anthony David joined shortly after that. The band itself was started in 1988, although none of the current members were in the group at that point. Which show did you attend, Vlad? And I definitely hope you still had a good time, despite the personnel change 😊
