Mr. Kirtland's Testimony of the Prophet

What a powerful testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith. I'm so grateful that I listened to this today. I returned home from my mission 50 years ago. It's difficult to believe that many years have passed. I had opportunity to witness the divine calling of Joseph Smith everyday as a missionary. After listening to this video, I feel prompted to bear my testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith. He was called by God the Father to open this, the Dispensation of the fullness of times. He restored the Church of Jesus Christ, to prepare a people for His second coming. We must prepare now. President Nelson and other apostles have declared, time is running out. It is my prayer, that those who are striving to live with him in the celestial kingdom will be prepared when He comes.

Brother Anderson, I love hearing you bear witness of our dear Prophet Joseph Smith, the Restoration of our Savior's Church and Gospel and the powerful truths they have brought back to the earth.. You are one of my favorite speakers, from the first time I heard you speak at our tiny Xenia Branch to the recent Fireside podcast from I believe Ogden or maybe Orem to this video I just found! You have a beautiful, sacred testimony and great love for our Savior, Jesus Christ, our prophet, Joseph Smith and our prophet today, President Russell M. Nelson and their teachings! I don't know if you get to be in Ohio when your grandson comes home from his mission, but you sure can be proud of his service to the people in California!

Hang in there. I struggled for some time. Stay the course and stay close to God. It was His timing while I continued holding to the rod that I received the revelation I needed.

I know that Joseph Smith knew he was a Prophet! Imagine that. While others, including myself, believe in his Prophetic calling. Some believed he was a fallen Prophet, but Joseph never doubted his calling. His testimony of Jesus Christ, his witness of the gospel, and his certain knowledge to his calling never faltered!

Brother Anderson will say "thank you" when he embraces JS in the next world. (After he tells the Savior the same thing). He was a great patriarch in our Kirtland Stake when we were in the Hirum, OH ward. I always felt he would be an inspiring apostle. Doesn't matter, though. He still prompts faith in the Lord and knows church history well.

I too questioned Joseph doing more than any other man other than Jesus Christ. I never thought of the number of revelations he gave but rather the number of people who benefited from his work. The prophets of the scriptures helped people who came after them. But Jesus’ atonement and then Joseph’s restoration of the temple ordinances reached back into history and helped the dead too.
