I would like to share that German cars are great however many German cars that are in circulation of the African market are the ones that failed to pass through the inspections in the European market. Normally this amount of issues occur when the vehicle has completely been worn out. We had a Toyota Noah and we had the same amount of issues simply because it was driven beyond its life. On top of that many Ugandan mechanics have a habit of taking parts which are already worn out or too old and passing them unto another vehicle that way the following owners who received these faulty parts will frequent these garages more and that way they make more money. Uganda's problem is that it has no mandatory vehicle inspections whereby even some bonds will sell you extremely worn out vehicles. A word of advice to anyone buying a car, look into the amount of owners it has had, the age and also check that the car hasn't exceeded 150 000km. Most vehicles EVEN Toyota will start to show signs of old age and will cost more once they start to approach 250 000km. So if you buy a car that has driven 150 000km and the problems show around 250 000 km that means you as the current owner have only put 100 000km on the vehicle which is nothing. So my dear people buy from trusted dealers and or have a trusted mechanic join and inspect the vehicle you are purchasing. Secondly close a contract where all issues should be mentioned and agree. Thirdly ensure that the vehicle isn't too old and exceeding 150 000km if you are buying for daily use, Old timers and trucks are a different case. Lastly make sure that the vehicle you are buying has a maintenance log and talk to the mechanic and inquire about any prior issues. BUY YOUR CARS with your brain and not just with your heart and eyes.

Hehehe I own one but no issues as I first did home work on the garage to work with. It's a great car for my full tank does 600kms. It's the mechanic who failed him Bambi as my 2012 model hasn't had issues but delivers on comfort speed and fuel efficiency

With experience of 3 VW brands. And mechanics of Ug. I recommend you to buy new car, either used outside africa. Otherwise some mechanics are supposed to be in custody for giving wrong information. VW is the best car I hv ever driven but mechanic of Ug no nothing about it due to electric sensors that could have been a help in fixing them. By the way it’s easy to maintain than any other brand if you know how to fix.
