About Mr. Queen (철인왕후):
A male chef (Shin Hye Sun) has risen up the ranks to find a job cooking for the country’s top politicians in the South Korean presidential residences, the Blue House.
He is something of a dreamer - but one day finds himself in the body of a young queen from Korea’s past, Kim So Yong.
Kim So Yong’s husband is the reigning monarch, King Cheol Jong (Kim Jung Hyun). However, he is only king in name - the late King Sunjo’s Queen, Sun Won (Bae Jong Ok), has taken advantage of Cheol Jong’s better nature, and is ruling the realm in his name.
Queen Sun Won’s brother Kim Jwa Guen (Kim Tae Woo) also has designs on power.
However, Kim So Yong soon discovers that King Cheol Jong harbors secrets, and is not as gentle and meek as he seems…

well it is jang bong hwan's soul in Soyong's body and Soyong's soul is rarely present in the drama, so i would say "he." But if u prefer using "they," that would be ok too

But I believe both Bong Hwan and SoYongs soul is there in the body . Thats why all the memories came back one by one of SoYong and at times he couldn't control certain actions or romantic feelings when queen is with king which makes it evident that SoYong soul is responsible for that . And last part when the BongHwan soul goes back you can see SoYong who was shot saying he is gone... But his personality did leave some traits in her . Towards the end she was able to swear freely and make wise decisions and was bold than her previous self .So she was well aware and witnessing everything that was happening with him inside her body . Since there are two souls in one body and one being more dominant it's confusing at the same time interesting.

Hi there, I'll explain it to you. When Byeong-In said, "I've always been watching you, even knowing a side of you that you didn't know about. Why did I not recognize it?" He means that he's always been watching over the true owner of the the Queen's body Cheorin, and he's asking why he didn't realize that she's been possessed by our modern-day Blue House chef Bong Hwan. Bong Hwan's been in there a long time at this point, but I think Byeong-In's been so blinded by his love, he didn't realize she's been possessed by this twerking, cursing, modern-day dude.

If you are going to tell me that CJ loved So Young then why didn't he remember their encounter that was shown in the Bamboo Forest episode? I see so many people saying that he fell for her at first sight. What bullshit. Falling in love isn't so easy. If he actually fell for SY when they met then he would've remembered her face and what she did but throughout the show, whenever CJ thought of SY he could only think of the time when she told him to love her and her suicidal self. Not love right? He may have had some feelings for SY but he never fell for her that hard as everyone claims he did. Now, let's say that he loved SY from the start then why did his actions meant otherwise? Yes, she was from Andon Kim Clan and they are not nice but he still confessed his love when BH was in her body. Even his confession says that he fell for Bong Hwan's behaviours not SY's, hence BH says that he shouldn't fall for him. It was BH that made CJ love the Queen so much, enough to confess to her despite knowing her family and his relationship with her family. That's love. Even after BH's departure, CJ felt like he lost something and in the ending scene, he even said "you don't speak to causally nowadays. Are you plotting a surprise" which indicates that he may have accepted SY but he still feels empty. He was downright rude to SY and was a total jerk. I don't understand why people mislead that and call it "love". I just feel like the writers, not only played with the audience's feelings, but also played with BH and CJ's feelings. And that's why it sucks.

She was always there in the body that's why Bong Hwan ( guy inside her ) got all the memories back one by one which made him understand the situation. I felt earlier the guys soul was more dominant but later on So Yong's soul also became strong and her feelings for the king influenced Bong Hwans actions. Since two souls are there it's a bit confusing .So Yong soul showcased the romantic side where she liked being with him and when he's not there around she misses him .Bong Hwan cared for the king and wanted him to succeed that's why he helped him but he never had romantic feelings for the king that's y he keeps saying control women in the initial days.

No . If you watch the complete series you get to know that both souls of the time travelled guy and the queen herself is present in the body of the queen . The Queens soul is responsible for all romantic feelings and actions because she loved her king a lot you can see in the prequel . Many times Bong Hwan (guy from future ) tries to refrain inspite of strong feelings of queen because he feels awkward to see the king romantically. Bong Hwan really cares for the king and wants to help him win but he never had any romantic feelings at all .
