Mr Rahman's Story

Mr. Rahman experienced back-to-back medical challenges-getting diagnosed with severe heart blockage and kidney failure soon after-which made him wheelchair-bound and unable to work as he had to start kidney dialysis.
Estranged from his family, he spent years living alone in his rental flat in the same daily routine, lacking friends and social support. He became fearful of what would happen if he fell at home since no one would check on him.
But in 2017, a staff member from Care Corner Seniors Services reached out and invited Mr. Rahman to our Active Ageing Centre, where he began to join our programmes, and diligently exercised with his new friends to regain his mobility. Within a year, he transitioned from using his wheelchair to a walking stick. Today, he can sometimes even walk without any support!
We need support from donors like you so that our seniors can undergo special F𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘁𝘆 M𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 P𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘀 that focus on helping them build strength and prevent falls. Beyond the benefits to their physical health, it regains their confidence to leave the confines of their homes and be active in the community.
