What's bad is that these days you aren't even allowed to make fun of yourself, much less anyone else. I mean, Eddie Murphy and Jeff Foxworthy both make a living making fun of their own community. And it's funny, not because it's literally true, but because it's a bit too true. They can make their audience see where the problems are that shouldn't be true, but yet you have to admit strike too close to home.

I always loved this sketch even back in 80s when he first struck with it!!! I’m sure a lot of people were laughing at the same time but you gotta make comedy because with all that goes on in this day and age we need to keep on laughing!! I especially love how at 00:13 seconds into the sketch he had a great neighbor close his front door

Prior is definitely the king of stand up but Eddie took it a little farther than stand up. In fact I'm not aware of any stand up he has done since raw , but he is doing two Netflix specials in 2020 and I'm really stoked on these especially post rape allegation Bill Cosby . I just assumed Eddie had lost his edge because he had been out of the sketch and stand-up comedy game for so long. But honestly, this was one of the funniest SNL episodes of the last 10 years. He killed in every sketch he was in.

That was the genius of the skit. I refused to watch show as a kid. Appeared what I'd denote now as "deviant". I was too scared to laugh or to cut off television when I first screened it on SNL. Far and away this recurring character is ALL TIME best in history of broadcast television.

I died when Mr. Robinson showed “racist” on the tv he stole. Just everything about that part was perfect. Edit: coming back 11 months later and holy crap so many people are just saying the most ignorant shit about black people. I wasn’t laughing at the fact that mr Robinson pulled the “I’m black” card. I’m laughing that after making a scene about not stealing anything the screen pans over to all the stuff he stole. If you’re using an snl skit as justification to feel better about your shitty behavior then it says a lot about you as a person. You know it IS kind of what 23 and other DNA tests find out. On the show "Finding Your Roots" on PBS, they've actually found out LL Cool J's biological parents and lost/unknown relatives of other celebs this way
