Elliott coping with traumatic events and the consequences of surviving them as he did is what drew me in. From a psychological perspective they were really good and careful not to overreact or over exaggerate the acting 🎭. It was exceptionally done. I know from the tech/hacker side of the show that they did bring in actual pros to help with realism. It definitely shows. Glad you finally watched it!

This show was so good I watched it again right away after finishing it for the first time *shoutout to the music btw, great choices in songs for particular moments. Also i had the same surprise of seeing Christian Slater in it since i went in totally blind, True Romance is my favorite movie and it was awesome seeing him in this ** 16:36 this guy is the actor Bobby Cannavale, his character is one of my favorite characters in any show and he's up there with Saul Goodman for me

I remember when this show as a trend in 2016-2017 something like that. I had a computer science class and my teacher or somebody was talking about it. I previewed it and saw how pretty cool it was. Just didn’t watch it fully. Now that I think about it the mid 2010s had a hacker culture sort of genre not only video games but movies as well.

Yeah bro that season 4, those last few episodes, I watched in one go cause it was so emotionally involved. Acting was pristine. The cycle of went full circle and he learned to let go at the end. Angela going from in-dept disrespected admin typa character to boss-lady listening to the manifestation-law of attractrion character to truly delusional at the end is tragic. Tyrell yeah had more potential but I like that he went out with character is good. The therapist is goated. Fernando Viera (butchered the name, i think) is an amalgam of good and evil and pivitol and crazy and spiritual and hard to understand but I get him. Crazy

When you start the show the adjustment to the camera work of focusing on a character at a corner of the frame is a bit frustrating, but by the 7th episode you dont care, you understand and you like it and it makes the show.😅

I just finished this show as well. Probably one of my favorite shows of all time. Up there with breaking bad, the wire and snowfall. You should do a rewatch review down the line. With the context you get by the finale, I’m already seeing things differently and idk I’m thinking those Tyrel theories might be true. I’m start my rewatch in a couple weeks.

Because what yall are saying either didnt happen, you didn't pay attention, or just parroting talking points you heard from somsome with an agenda. Lawrence. How about you watch and see for yourself? Just because YOU can't imagine it doesn't mean it's not true. I'd say any rational person with any semblance of rational thought can look at season 4 on its own as one of the best series ever made. Hell, just episode 7 of season 4 is better than the first two seasons combined. And the first two were spectacular. And then thr finale itself. Getting the full revelation. It's a show that once you finish it recontexualizes the first 2 seasons and everything else. It'd like watching a new show.

I really liked the series up until season 3, I think season 3 is by far the best, very very strong season of television. But I don't know exactly what happened to the series afterwards (maybe they got cancelled) because they tried to wrap everything up with season 4 and it was very forced and clearly not what they intended from the start (at least that's how it feels). A lot of important plot threads that were built up from the beginning got either dropped or got an abrupt and anti climatic ending. Very disapointing reveals with the exception of our main character at the end which was pretty cool. I wish they had time to properly develop the themes and plots, this could've been a masterpiece of a series.

I diagree season 4 is by far the season by far the best season of show and it is even more consistent , more compelling , more intriguing then season 3 with having two of the best epiosdes ever made that 407 peroxy and Hello conclusion( if not the best one of the best conclusions I have read/seen). It masterfuuly concludes many themes In the show as well as giving rise many other themes like dissociation, integration, multiplcity , control being Illusion , identity and how well it potryas topics like SA , DiD. and not to mention how fantastically theme self of acceptence was potrayed in the second half of the season . Ellio's development is phenomenally shown how his perception of people changes how he started beliving in the people's around him and started seeking help from his closed one ( darlene) . and here I gaved you very simplistic explation of this themes and it fantastically developed every theme in the show. in seson 4 they masterfully concluded many symbolism and even evaluting ones like - elliot/vera symbolising Alexander and thaïs ( this arises from the book lolita that even the whole has insane parralells from the book that just shows how well verything was kept in the show and had meaning behind it), Alice and caterpiler symbloism , providing contrasting nature to both superhero symbloism of Elliot and no of religious symbolism used in the show , door symbolism and many others these are just some that are top of my head. And yeah how can I forget how well Elliot's potryal how carl jung's archetype of our unconsciousness is , I can even give a full fledged elaboration of it . and seson 4 ended character arcs masterfully and even left some ambiguity to it making there character more complex and letting room for people's interpretations in the end evaluting the whole .. adressing some - 1) not to mention how well show ended the main character arc making one best character ever, I don't think this even need elaboration. 2) tyrell conclusion- how every character ended in the show had the direct parallel to Elliot's conclusion, so here's the tyrell one, even his conclusion is direct parallel to elliot's one both characters in the end achieved self acceptance tyrell self acceptance is even shown through his dialogues dialogues how he wanted to be powerful , how he wanted to people perceive him , etc and one prominent of part of his acceptance being that he finally realizing that the person he ideolized throughout the show didn't actually cared about him , where elliot acceptance consisted of his acceptance of who he is , accepting the abused that happend to him , etc (very simplistic explanation again). that leads to having a direct parallel that Elliot self acceptance leads to his almost rebirth while tyrell's self acceptance leads to his death. this just shows how much well written the conclusions of character was. 3) Angela's concluison - her conclusion was not all for shock it eads to even powerful parallel between Elliot and angela , let me explain this whole to you. Elliot and Angela both have same origin both are the victims of their past They both didn't accepted their past due to it Elliot got buried under his own subconscious and mm took over , whereas Angela throughout her life didn't accepted her mother's death They both go on the quest changing the world creating world without their pain , but it leads Angela to complete delusional breakdown destroying many people lives even her own and leads mm to destroying lives many people and even his own life, even in this quest Elliot Even lost his love Angela And how it beautifully got paralleled in season 4 is that Elliot completed his acceptance whereas Angela didn't, Their both arc now went different trajectories Angela even in her last didn't accepted that her mother life cannot come leaving in utter delusion hence leading to her death Her death is at the extreme starting point of s4 Where's Elliot acceptance is shown at the extreme end of s4 hence at extreme end of hello elliot almost having a rebirth being free from a mental prison of childhood trauma And how the camera in the starting doesn't really focuses Angela While it completely focuses Elliot in the end . Everything in the show was fully fledged out , I would even recommned you to rewatch the show to see the extent of recontextualisation the show and how well everything was placed to get concluded in season 4. And The show is fully masterpiece lol. and I amde some typos so sorry and you still made a fair argument.

Wut? No. There are so many false things there. Sam Esmail specifically had 4 seasons in mind. They didn't rush anything. Its exactly what the story needed. He knew the ending and all the plot points. It's actually perfectly executed. It's okay to not like it. But don't make up things.
