Mr Squiggle bares such a close similarity to the Egyptian moon god Thoth… hmmm 🤔 I always wondered why my godparents kid was so afraid of mr. Squiggle as a child. I get it now. The moon is a soul recycling centre. Upside down! Upside down!! 😂

This was the final series of MR Squiggle aired in 1997 the wikipedia article said that Mr Squiggle ended in 1999 however that is incorrect.

Does anyone remember what I assume was ABC tv a show called "The Kid" I swear it was Which I assume was an 80's take on charlie chaplin Seeing as it was called "The Kid" and I think was mostly black and white, but also I think a bunch of overlayed 80's colour and what I remember was some weird slapstick baking of a cakewhere he just threw all the ingredients in a bowl, put it in the oven then a pink iced cake comes out with lit candles. Also a weird series of live action acted nursery rhymes where I think a man dressed as little bo peep goes around a bunch of nursery rhymes and tries to find something their sheep I guess? Humpty Dumpty was somewhat terrifying.

I can't find much except this for The Kid. Does it look familiar? www.imdb.com/title/tt0492431/ As for the nursery rhymes one, I'm not too sure. I was born in 1987 and this may have been on when I was really young or before my time. ABC has a wealth of TV series locked away in their archives, but most will never see the light of day sadly. I remember that they changed a majority of the afternoon lineup in 1991/1992. I remember Secret Valley, Mr.Squiggle (With Roxanne Kimmorley), Inspector Gadget among many others that disappeared after that time. I also remember The New Adventures Of Blinky Bill (With puppets) was replaced by The Adventures Of Blinky Bill which was animated. Very sad so many were never repeated after that time, Although The Trap Door made a come back in the mid 90's.
