One of the best decisions I made was buying a larger roll cart. About 6 months ago I picked up a Snap-on KRSC46 absolutely love it. Storm grey with red trim and black guards. It’s called the rolling thunder. I work primarily out of a roll cart much easier to load it full of of pretty much everything you’ll use day to day. With room for extras. Wish it were a few inches deeper. It’s I believe 42x 20, better organization will definitely help with space. At the time I was originally going to buy a 68” epiq, got a quote for damn near half off new, but I came to the conclusion it was bigger than what I needed at the time and went with the roll cart, saved 5,000$ and i couldn’t be happier with the cart. But overall the best purchase I’ve ever made for tool storage.

I had a MAC cart bought used off the truck about 15 years ago. It was significantly bigger than the USG cart, which I also own. The drawers, IIRC, were about 40"x20" on the MAC cart. The cart in the video looks like a significant upgrade. Noticeably nicer than the one I had. The thing about my old MAC cart, I actually made a few bucks selling it on Marketplace after using it for almost 14 years. That likely won't happen with my USG cart. I really like the white, BTW.

I own one of those carts and it’s the carbon grey, with flat black drawer faces, and metallic red trim, and black wheels and black badges. Love the cart. More space then my old snap on cart and more wider and more depth then my Matco James town cart.

That’s not a roll cart for a Toyota/ Honda specialist. It’s a tool box. When I specialized on Toyotas I rarely had to go to my tool box. Now that I work on anything I need a toolbox the size of a mobile home. No one tool company has everything that I like the best. Snapon, MAC, Matco all offer items that I like and prefer. The character and dependability of the tool guy goes a long way too.

Had a matco Jsc 773 cart their top of the line cart. Got rid of it after couple of months. Quality was ok. I didn’t like the design of the lid not staying up 90 degrees. It was more like 70-75’. Also was too big moving around the shop. Realized in the future I will grab a smaller cart. Maybe a 32-34” wide. Do miss my old snappy cart.. lock n roll....

I have tried to work out of a tool cart lots of times. Can't seem to make it work just not enough space. At this point I just push my 84" Cornwell Platinum box around. And use all my other box's for storage of less used tool. Also use an old Snap-on taco box as my wiring cart. I think the tall version of a 54" x 30" deep Master series wood make for good size tool cart. I do like your new Mac maximizer tool cart but you've got no work surface with the flip top.
@MrSubaru13874 жыл бұрын
Yeah, really wish they offered it as a slide top. Hopefully they'll add a shelf/worksurface to the rail system soon.

@prevost86864 жыл бұрын
Alex Taylor I’ve spent more in tools and my shop in 28 years than most people earn in a lifetime. I buy what I want. I’ve owned the big threes boxes over those 28 years and Snapon was the poorest built of the three. My 6S Matco’s are much heavier built and have been flawless. I also own several older 8000 Series Macs that were better built than Snapon back in that time period. Snapon has a great hand tool line and their diagnostic equipment is the most user friendly on the market but their boxes are unimpressive for their cost. An ICON from Horrible Freight would be a much wiser choice than the Snapon models that they mimic. At least they’re cheaper and HF doesn’t screw their customers with compound interest like Snapon does. You do know, I’m sure, that Snapon is the only tool company that screws their customers with compound interest regardless of how good their credit score is? That’s why Snapon will gladly discount their boxes off of full retail. They’ve become the Sears & Roebuck of tool dealers by making more on their credit plans than the actual products that they offer. Anytime you’d like to visit my business you’re welcome to. I think you’re going to find that I really can afford whatever toolbox and equipment that I want. Wayne Swicegood ARS Transportation Asheboro N.C.

Jon Doe oh I have lots of nice things! But a good 4 channel setup of a pico like a 4425 can easily be $3000. I have a Fluke 99B, I have used since around 1995! I paid about 5000 for it at the time. But I was an independent electronics tech at the time. It’s 2 channel battery operated. I modified it with a lithium battery pack. But it has its limitations. I have a lot of health issues so putting a few grand into a trust that makes money makes me feel better about what I leave behind for my wife and son. But never know one day I might go hag wild! LOL Still is ring my old craftsman tool box setup from the late 80s! Cheers to all the tool junkies! I started in the automotive world but working at a dealer just turned me off..

@nancyoffenhiser49164 жыл бұрын
Robert, do you use your daily tools in the roll cart and your not as well used in the snap on? Or, the SAE in the snap on and Metric in the Mac? It's a beautiful cart! Now you'll be able to charge everything at once!

For the longest time, I worked straight out of my 84" Epiq Toolbox. Running back and forth to the box wastes time and gets old. I bought the little US General cart for the convenience of having, like you said, my most used tools close at hand; plus, I can take them to the car. The toolbox then is for storing specialized tools and stuff I don't use as frequently.

Hey buddy. Do you know if there is a tightening sequence on manifolds, crossover and up pipe for a turbo Subaru? I torqued all down before and used factory triple metal gaskets on all and still had blowby and weird rusting on most of the faces. Wondering if I tightened them in the wrong order. Ideas?
