For the seventh year running, we are proud to
introduce the Bull of the Year from our herd. The
title of 2022 Bull of the Year goes to Mr. V8 562/8
"Guardian." No stranger to titles, he is a two-time
division winner at the International Brahman Show.
A V8 Superblend™ representing the Miss V8 539/6
cow family, he blends with the +Miss V8 165/4
family through his sire, +Mr. V8 933/7 "Yeti." W e
expect 562/8, who has already produced outstanding
calves, to have a significant impact on the breed.
Guardian is owned with GKB Cattle.
While he is from the Miss V8 539/6 cow family,
Guardian's pedigree is a collection of many of our V8
cow family matriarchs, including +Claydesta 807U5,
+Miss V8 165/4, and +Miss V8 4/5.

V8 Ranch named our first Bull of the Year in 2016,
prior to the Houston show. Each year’s selection
is made by a family consensus as to which bull is
the most promising and likely to join rank with the
family’s long line of legendary sires. It's interesting
to note that Guardian's sire, +Mr. V8 933/7, was the
2019 Bull of the Year.
